Story
Hello, my name is: BentleyDOB: 10/01/2024Sex/Breed: Neutered male Basset HoundWeight: 35.4 lbsRescued From: Owner surrenderBentley is a sweet and friendly puppy with lots of love to give. He likes toys, gets along great with other dogs, and lives peacefully with a cat. Bentley is still learning the basics and will need a home with some dog experience and older kids who understand puppy behavior. A fenced yard and a doggy playmate would be ideal to help him burn off energy and continue growing into a well-rounded companion. We are head over heels for his wrinkles and giant ears!! We expect this handsome hound to be very popular, and can’t wait to find him the perfect forever home… could that be yours??All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Story
Meet Oscar, the charming 4-year-old Basset Hound mix with a heart full of love and a personality that’s hard to resist. With his unique combination of a full-sized body and adorably short legs, Oscar is as endearing as they come. Oscar is a devoted companion who thrives on human affection. He prefers to be the only pet in the household, ensuring he can soak up all the love and attention you have to offer. Whether it’s going for walks, playing in the yard, or simply enjoying snack time, Oscar is always eager to be by your side. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and well-mannered, making him a delightful addition to any home. While Oscar is generally quiet and well-behaved, he does have a high prey drive and has been known to bring his “finds” into the house. He would do best in a home with children aged 10 and up and prefers not to be disturbed during mealtime. Oscar is healthy, up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and entertaining companion, Oscar might just be the perfect match for you. As a gentle reminder, no small animals, this includes feline pals. He prefers to be the only prince of his castle.

Story
NAME: Hunter BREED: Bassett Hound Mix BIRTHDAY: 2019 WEIGHT: 50lbs ADOPTION FEE: $200 &#226&#128&#139 Poor Hunter has been through so much in his life, and we are so sorry that his journey to find a forever home is still ongoing. We thought we had the perfect family for him, but Hunter needs a cat-free home. After being saved with less than an hour to live in the shelter, we know that Hunter is happy to be in a real home and is doing his best, but we need to find the perfect fit for him- and we know it won't be easy. &#226&#128&#139 Hunter is slow to warm up but then he loves with all his heart, and it makes him protective of those he cares about. This means Hunter shouldn't be placed in a home with small children, and will need an experienced owner who knows to take things slow and be extra cautious. Other dogs seem to be a green light, as long as they are independent or are fine with Hunter having his own space when he needs it. &#226&#128&#139 If you've read this far, you may be wondering- why would someone pick Hunter, when there are many easier dogs waiting to be adopted? We know that Hunter won't be a good fit for everyone, but we know that he is a good boy who has many wonderful qualities. We know that every dog deserves a chance, and we know we won't give up on Hunter just because he's not as easy as the others. He is house trained, walks well on a leash, and is in general quiet and well-behaved. Under the right circumstances, he could definitely be an easy dog if given just a little time to settle in. Please consider Hunter, and share his story so we can send him home soon! March 28, 2025, 4:38 pm
