Gingerbread is a gentle hound mix who is learning that the world can be a safe and kind place. She can be shy with new people at first, but with patience and consistency, her confidence is steadily growing. Watching her take those small steps forward is incredibly rewarding. She is currently nervous on a leash, but Gingerbread is being very brave and working through it one baby step at a time. She does best with calm encouragement and someone who knows when to move at her pace—and when to give her a gentle push to help her realize she’s capable of more than she thinks. At this time, Gingerbread would do best in a home with another dog to help her feel confident, a securely fenced yard, and a patient, understanding adopter who is willing to meet her where she is while continuing to encourage her growth. A quieter, rural or country setting would suit her best right now. These needs reflect where Gingerbread is today, and her bio will be updated as her confidence continues to grow. Once she feels safe, her personality shines through. Gingerbread is silly, loving, and affectionate, and she forms deep bonds with the people she trusts. Welcome to Mostly Muttz Rescue, Crumb! Crumb is a sweet, sensitive girl who’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. She’s very shy with people at first and needs time, patience, and understanding to build trust—but once she feels safe, her true personality starts to shine. Crumb loves other dogs and absolutely thrives around them. Having a confident canine companion helps her feel secure and brings out her silly, excited play side. She LOVES playing with dog friends, chewing on her favorite toys, and soaking up the comfort of a familiar routine. Crumb is still building confidence and continuing her socialization, so she’s looking for a calm, patient adopter who will move at her pace and celebrate the small wins along the way. With consistency, kindness, and the support of another dog in the home, Crumb will continue to blossom. Crumb has just begun leashed walks and is doing well with a doggie friend and encouragement.
