Story
Roy, affectionately known as Action Jackson from his earlier days in 2022, is back with us through absolutely no fault of his own. He’s a happy-go-lucky guy with a bunch of puppy-like traits still shining through. Roy’s the kind of dog who will push for couch cuddles and wants to hold your hand while he snuggles. He will cheerfully share your toilet paper stash if you leave it in reach—so watch out for that! He’s also very food-motivated, which means he’s super trainable if you have treats on hand and he’s happy to clean up after your kids! On top of that, Roy is a very quiet boy. He travels well in a car (sits like a perfect passenger), walks beautifully on a leash (does not pull), and he’s amazing in a kennel (one is highly recommended to save the toilet paper!). He’ll happily sleep there or just hang out during the day without any fuss. While he does enjoy shredding a good stuffed toy or chewing a bone, he’s more of a laid-back companion. And here’s the bonus: Roy is great with cats and other calmer dogs, making him a wonderful addition to a multi-pet household. We have recently learned that this gentle boy has Cushing's disease. The symptoms are being managed with daily medication. While we know this may make it harder to find the perfect home for Roy, we know one is out there. Story
A ray of sunshine! Beatrice is just a happy, playful, sweet girl that lives life to the fullest. She just wants to be wherever you are. And she’s a great size only around 38 lbs. She is timid in new situations and out in public, but a different dog in a home when she feels safe. She sat in a shelter for months continuing to get overlooked. We knew the chances of her getting adopted were slim as she has a birth defect on her back left leg. After being evaluated, Beatrice had to have her leg amputated and is now a fabulous tripod. She would thrive in a home with another welcoming dog and a fenced in yard so she can do her zoomies until her heart is content. Young children can be scary for her but feel she would be fine in a home with older children. She is sure to bring you lots of love, laughter, and happiness. Story
Azalea is one happy hound with a playful spirit. And this girl has so much love to give. We like to call her the “Kissing Bandit” as she will give you a smooch and steal your heart! She has discovered the joys of a cozy bed, squeaky toys, and canine friends to run around with in the backyard. And don't leave your shoes lying around as next thing you know, she'll pass by with one in her mouth. She truly is a beauty with the softest fur and soulful eyes. Azelea would love a home with another playful dog and a fenced in yard. She enjoys running around the yard with her favorite toy of the moment and playing chase. Her goofy personality will keep you laughing and provide a lifetime of joy.
