Story
Gerald is a gentle, lanky boy who starts out a little timid, but once he knows you’re safe, he becomes your best friend. He was found by his foster family after it looked like he was dumped on their property. After trying to find who he belonged to with no luck, it was apparent someone else’s so called trash, is now a treasure! He will put his head in your hand and look at you with pure adoration. Like he truly is thankful to not be lost anymore. He loves playing with other dogs once he’s comfortable and enjoys relaxing on his bed for little naps throughout the day. He is also great with children and will make sure to follow them everywhere. He’s a big fan of walks and sniffing all the fun scents in the air. Gerald is a soft, loving boy that deserves the very best home.  Gerald has completed his heartworm treatment and is doing great! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Please note we are unable to hold dogs for adopters as this ties up valuable foster homes. Please understand that we are an all volunteer group and we have jobs outside of this organization.  We do our best to provide quick responses but occasionally they are a little slower.  If you do not receive a response in 48 hours, please resend to make sure it's received. ##2579094##

Story
Willa Belle is the type of girl that never meets a stranger! When she’s out and about on the town, she wants to be sure every person and every dog knows that she’s their new best friend. Once you get home, she’s ready to snuggle on the couch and binge watch Dexter with you. At around three years old, she’s the perfect mix of energetic enough to keep up, but grown up enough to know when to chill. She is doing very well with house training and settles quickly in a crate. Willa would love a home with another dog or two and maybe her own comfy dog bed (although she's happy to share!) **This dog is heartworm positive and will be treated by the rescue and will be available for foster to adopt for a local family in or near Charleston, SC that is comfortable with the restriction requirements for the duration of treatment. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Story
Journey is ready to find his true forever home! This laid back cuddle bug is the perfect companion for someone who wants to take leisurely walks, or just hang out in the back yard. He has him “moments” of zoomies but basically slow and easy is his mode. He is not much of a social butterfly and enjoys a calm environment. Journey is crate trained and house trained and does well with other dogs. He is currently living with 2 dogs and a cat, making him a great addition to a home with canine and feline companions. He has also been around a small child and was a perfect gentleman. Journey is perfect in our eyes but he does come with a free training package so you can begin your lives together on a good note.

Story
**Meet Coast — Your Quiet, Loyal Adventure Buddy** Coast is a gentle, sweet-natured boy with a sensitive soul and so much love to give. While he can be a bit shy at first, once he feels safe and comfortable, his affectionate personality truly shines. Coast especially loves belly rubs and will even rub up against you like a cat to ask for extra pets — his adorable way of showing he trusts you. Coast is still a little skittish with loud noises and chaotic environments, so he would thrive in a calm, quieter home where he can feel secure and build confidence at his own pace. Despite his sensitivity, he’s done well around kids and other dogs so far and has a kind, easygoing nature. This handsome guy enjoys car rides, long walks, and spending time with his favorite people. With patience, love, and a peaceful environment, Coast will blossom into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate dog who just needs a calm place to call home, Coast may be your perfect match.

Story
If you’ve ever wanted your life to feel like a cartoon… meet Phineas & Ferb 🐾🎬 These two are part of a group of 12 pups found as strays, and while we wish we could’ve taken them all, Phineas & Ferb were the lucky ones we were able to pull into rescue. Now fully vetted and living the good life, they’re ready to bring nonstop entertainment (and cuddles) to their forever homes 💛 At around 5.5–6 months old, these boys are basset mixes with the most hilarious, lovable builds—think short little legs + long hot dog bodies = instant serotonin 😂 They’ve got that classic hound charm with a goofy twist, and everywhere they go, they make people smile. Their personalities match their looks—so sweet, so silly, and full of life. They love other dogs, enjoy playtime, and are always down for a good cuddle after they’ve burned off some puppy energy. They’re the kind of dogs who will keep you laughing one minute and melt into you the next 🥹 And we have to talk about Ferb for a second… his rich mahogany coat is absolutely stunning—he’s like a little low-rider model with the best coloring to match 🤎 Considering where they came from, these boys have such bright spirits and so much love to give. Now all they need is a family to keep their story going in the best way possible 🏡 If you’re ready for double the laughs, double the love, and a whole lot of personality, Phineas & Ferb are your guys.
