Story
Meet our long, lean, loves everyone machine! Buckshot didn’t have the best past but he’s one boy that focuses on the present, while we focus on his future. We saw a post just before the holidays about an injured dog and we knew we had to help. This sweet boy got very lucky as whatever injured his leg missed the bone. He had surgery to clean everything out and after some rest, he is as good as new! He loves playing with other dogs just as much as he loves playing with his toys. And when his foster siblings want to chill out, he does the same or just entertains himself. He's so adorable when he has his little bursts of zoomies in the yard as sometimes his legs can't keep up with him. And he always finds time for his favorite activity - destroying the newest tennis ball. When it's nap time, he curls up (on top of his toys typically) and falls sound asleep. And he's become quite the snuggler! He walks well on a leash and is doing great learning all things that a dog in a home needs to know. He will need a fenced in yard and would love to have a canine sibling. Buckshot is such a happy, goofy, lovable guy that will bring a smile to your face. **This dog has been treated for heartworms. Story
Pepper was adopted from us as a puppy.  She recently came back to us as a normal, 2 year old hound with plenty of energy and a splash of tendency towards mischief.  She is house and crate trained and lives with dogs and cats.  She is ready to find an active home with other dog(s) to play with her, or a home where she will get plenty of walks and exercise.  We hope her next home is her forever home! Story
Indiana Bones was found wandering the streets and, after a long and hard search, no owner came forward so he is seeking a new home. He can be a bit shy but is learning to trust. While he may not be a social butterfly (yet!) His desire for human affection is so clear. He is a sweet, calm boy who loves you snuggle and hang out. Also, his head tilt game is ON POINT If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Story
Janet is the mom to our current litter of puppies, so she has been hard at work caring for her large and quickly growing family! We are still learning about her personality because being a full-time mom takes all of your energy. But so far she seems pretty laid back, mostly interested in smelling all the smells and building nests out of leaves in the yard. She has recently taken up sunbathing as a hobby. She will be available around April once she's done nursing and she's healthy enough to spay. Story
Valentina has not had an easy life, as shown by the damage in 3 of her 4 legs. Despite whatever she has been through, she is just the sweetest little girl, although understandably a bit unsure of things. She finds comfort in other dogs and is dog, cat, and kid friendly. Her rear leg has been broken in multiple places and healed, and she uses it. It has been evaluated by an orthopedic specialist who recommended to leave the leg as is because it's not causing her pain and she uses it. She deserves to know love and safety for the rest of her life. Also - she has the cutest underbite! **This dog is heartworm positive and will be treated by the rescue and will be available for foster to adopt for a local family in or near Charleston, SC that is comfortable with the restriction requirements for the duration of treatment. Story
Loretta has been through so much in her short life. At only 4 months old she was taken from a hoarding situation with five of her siblings. Then she sat in the shelter for SIX MONTHS!! We kept waiting to hear that she had been adopted but she wasn't, and we simply didn't have room. Well, we finally had an opening and just knew we had to get this girl OUT and show her how amazing life can be.  Loretta is thriving in a home with multiple other dogs, cats, and a toddler and she's pretty sure she's in heaven. She's submissive and loves to play. Loretta can't wait to find a forgever family of her own.
