Story
Meet Baguette! This nibbly boy transferred to us from the San Diego Humane Society! Baguette was found as a stray and taken to a local vet. He was picked up by Humane Law Enforcement not long after and taken to SDHS. He had been there a month prior where he was secluded due to his kennel stress and was on anxiety medications. They were working to address his health concerns when we took over. His previous owner must have left him outdoors as he had healing fly bites on his ears, corneal scarring on his left eye, healing scrapes on his lower back, and was underweight. During his time with us we weaned him off his anxiety medications, his skin has improved, and we continue to work on the cause of his gastrointestinal upset. Health implications aside, Baguette has been an energetic busy bee with his new friends, loves to nibble on the staff's fingers, and is such a ball of joy! Health considerations: Baguette still has consistent blood in his stools and a thickened and inflamed colon. We have conducted a series of blood, parasite, fungal, and other specialty tests, all of which were negative. We are working through changes to his prescribed diet, had two ultrasounds conducted, and have been referred to and seen an internist. The next step in addressing his health concerns is steroidal therapy, which is he currently on through the month of February. If blood in his stool persists at the conclusion, a colonoscopy and biopsy will be next. Additionally, Baguette has permanent corneal scarring on his left eye. This does not greatly affect his eyesight as it is rather small. Please note that Baguette is not available until he has a diagnosis and treatment/management plan. Regarding COVID-19 and other contagious illnesses: Please reschedule any visits if you are sick.

Story
Alaska is a little girl who came running to the shelter to hide, we assume she was scared after being run over At first glance we saw that she had a fracture in her hind leg, her first visit to the vet was to prepare her for an amputation, since her leg was beyond repair. After her recovery, she began to prepare to find her new home, currently she already has her vaccinations up to date, she is spayed and ready. She is a very pampered dog, like a big girl, waiting for love, affection and lots of cuddles, she likes to go for walks, eager to see new places, always happy, following you everywhere. She is very curious, elated to see you, and such an adorable, smart little girl. The fact that she is missing her leg does not stop her, she runs, plays and can even jump, she has adapted quite well to her new life. She is still a puppy, she will barely be a year old, she will not grow any more, she is medium, around 26 pounds. She is very protective with her family, she loves take a nap by your side, and she likes go to walks. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

Story
Meet Peggy Sue: Professional Snuggler, Loyal Shadow & Tiny Security System 🐶💖 🐾 3 Years Old | 16 lbs | Frenchie Mix Looking for a low-key best friend who will love you a lot? Like… A LOT a lot? Congratulations, you’ve found Peggy Sue. Peggy Sue is a sweet, mellow gal with a calm vibe and a heart full of devotion. She’s a total gal’s gal—women are her favorite humans—but she’s politely learning that men are… acceptable coworkers. Progress is being made. This tiny love bug gets along great with other dogs, but let’s be honest: YOU will be her chosen person. Once selected, expect a full-time shadow, shoulder naps, gentle kisses, and intense eye contact that says, “I would literally follow you anywhere.” Peggy Sue isn’t aggressive—just enthusiastically loyal. She may get a little possessive of her human (she knows a good thing when she finds it), and if you leave for too long, she might host a small concert for the neighbors featuring her signature “I miss my human” howl. Very exclusive. Very heartfelt. She’s house-trained, not picky about food, eager to please, and always ready to cuddle. With her easygoing energy and affectionate personality, Peggy Sue would thrive in a calm home—ideally with a woman who can be her person, her world, and her favorite couch-sharing buddy. Peggy Sue’s Stats: 💛 House-trained: You betcha 💛 Energy level: Low–Medium (snacks > zoomies) 💛 Temperament: Gentle, mellow, affectionate, slightly clingy in the cutest way Peggy Sue is ready to claim her forever human and fill their life with love, laughs, and unsolicited cuddles. Story
The Kiddo pups are a chunky adorable trio born to sweet mama Kiddo, a brindle French Bulldog. Mama is a purebred French Bulldog. We don't know who daddy was but expect these puppies to be a little larger than mom when done growing. They are charming, playful puppies that love to eat and love to run around and explore their foster mom's backyard. Sprout is looking for a family that understands the time, patience, and energy needed to raise a young pup. We require all puppy adopters to provide training that includes: house training, basic training, leash training, and socialization. Additionally, this cutie is going to need proper exercise, mental stimulation, and your attention and love to grow up to be the best companion. We do not allow our dogs or puppies to sleep or live outside; they must be incorporated into your family and be made a priority in your life. In return, you will have the most loving and loyal family member you could ask for. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting a Kiddo puppy then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing. Thank you for joining the Adoption Family with Labs and More Rescue. We are here to help you find a furry companion. You will find our quick and easy adoption application at www.labsandmore.org and click on Adopt. Please email us at I doginfo@labsandmore.org if you need assistance. Thank you for looking to a rescue group to fulfill your dream of adding a new dog to your life!
