Welcome sweet Collette! A couple of weeks ago, we welcomed Collette into the rescue after she was released from a Lancaster puppy mill — no longer “useful” to them. This 4-year-old French Bulldog is now getting her very first taste of freedom, kindness, and love. Collette came to us shy and unsure, but she’s quickly learning that gentle hands and soft voices can be trusted. She’s starting to enjoy belly rubs, sunny spots in the yard, and the company of her two foster dog friends. She’s working on her housebreaking (something that takes a little extra time for our mill moms who were never taught where to go) and every day she grows a bit braver. Collette will be spayed in the coming weeks and then will be ready to find a forever family who will show her what unconditional love truly feels like. Arlo is a pure bred French Bulldog who was surrendered due to allergies in the home. The family tried everything but nothing worked and was very sad to give him up but we promised to find him a good home. Arlo has been very well taken care of by the family. He is outgoing,friendly, enjoys playing and being petted. Arlo is housebroken and knows some basic commands. He does act like how a lot of French Bulldogs act, he can be stubborn, likes to grab onto things and then acts very cute. He can also have some resource guarding over what he thinks are high value items (chew bone, favorite toy, etc). He also does not like to have his face wiped or his rear end touched. Arlo was born on 3/3/23. He is about 21 pounds. A home with no young children and no other dogs would suit him best. We do not know what he thinks of cats. Please help Arlo find the loving home he deserves. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. She was bred three times which is three times too many. Lala is so sweet and loving, she craves the attention she never got and wants to sleep with you, near you or physically on top of you!!! She came from a home with a not so nice male human so she will have to go into an all female low-key home without a lot of visitors or commotion. Lala has a snore that rivals someone with sleep apnea. You can hear her from rooms away. It is so cute so hopefully you can sleep through her snoring. She was extremely skinny and emaciated when we got her. She has slowly been gaining weight which has helped her confidence and not feeling like she isn't going to get fed. She has been at the vet for typical Frenchie skin issues. Lala loves to run around the backyard sniffing and investigating everything around. Lala could live by herself or with a low-key dog her size or smaller. She deserves a loving home where she can get a lot of love and attention. Escher came to Cameron Animal Rescue after she was given up by a breeder who no longer wanted her. She is sweet, affectionate girl who loves people, and she is looking for her forever home. We don't know what Escher's life was like prior to arrival, but this sweet girl has adjusted wonderfully. Escher loves to play with toys and chase balls in the back yard. And she loves going on long walks- she is wonderful on the leash. She has shown a propensity for climbing (a 5 ft fence!), so she should not be left alone in a backyard. Escher has shown too much interested in chasing cats, and although she is good with some dogs, she is reactive toward otheres. Therefore we think that she should be an only pet. On the other hand, Escher has been wonderful with all of the people that she has met, including young children. Escher is working on house-training, and has been improving, but is not totally house-trained. Escher is approximately 3 years old, and she is healthy. Her adoption fee includes her spay; a full series of 3 DHLPPi (distemper) vaccines, as well as Rabies and Bordetella vaccines; testing for heartworm and tick-bourne diseases; fecal testing and deworming; microchip; 30 days of free pet insurance. Although Escher is healthy at this time, french bulldogs are at great risk of significant medical issues. Therefore we are looking for an adopter with an extensive prior veterinary history. Please note that priority will be given to adopters from Northern NJ/NYC area, however out of state adopters will be considered.
