WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. She loves being with her people and makes a perfect couch buddy . She can happily entertain herself by tossing her ball in the air, and her LOUD, snorty grunts are absolutely hysterical. One look into her big, soulful eyes and youll fall in love instantly.WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Lovey Dovey spent her entire life as a breeding dog in a puppy mill. When her 'breeders' decided they no longer had a use for her, they planned to discard her. Thankfully, WISE was able to step in and rescue her giving her a second chance to experience the love and warmth of a real home. Now shes ready to start that new chapter!Personality: Lovey Dovey She is a sweet, bouncy little clown with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Her favorite things include cheese (very important) , belly rubs, playing with her ball, and enthusiastically removing the ears and tails from stuffed toys (they never stand a chance!). She loves being with her people and makes a perfect couch buddy. Lovey Dovey enjoys playtime, but she does best with shorter sessions since she can become winded fairly quickly. She sleeps well in her pen and settles in comfortably at night. Lovey Doves is doing very well with house training and clearly prefers to go outside rather than use a wee wee pad. She has been sleeping through the night in her pen without any accidents. Shes currently learning how to navigate going down the stairs but knows how to go up the stairs with confidence!
