Story
Meet Mortimor — Our Brave Little Survivor Age/Weight: 7 years, 35lbs Breed: French Bulldog Background: Puppy Mill Survivor Mortimor has spent most of his life in a puppy mill, but those dark days are finally behind him. Now, this sweet 7-year-old Frenchie is learning what it truly means to be loved and cared for. Despite his rough past, Mortimor is gentle, curious, and full of quiet charm. He’s discovering the simple joys of life — soft beds, tasty meals, and the comfort of kind hands. Mortimor enjoys calm spaces and spending time near his favorite humans. Because of his past, he can be shy at first, but with patience and love, he opens up beautifully and shows just how affectionate he can be. Mortimor can be a bit greedy with food and water because of his past. Mortimor would thrive in a peaceful home with people who understand that healing takes time. He’s looking for a forever family who will give him the safety, stability, and love he’s always deserved. Mortimor is crate trained and working on house training. Let’s help Mortimor start the next chapter of his life — one filled with comfort, kindness, and endless cuddles. Mortimor is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $300.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Addie is the snortiest, snuffliest dog you could ever hope to find! She’s very friendly and up for adventures, although with her short snout, she shouldn’t overexert herself, especially when it’s hot outside. She is also quite content snoozing on the couch at home.    This girl is good with kids and would make a fantastic family pet. She will likely need to be the only animal in the home - Addie does not always get along with other dogs and has a high prey drive towards smaller animals.   Addie is house and crate trained. We can’t wait to see this good girl find her forever home!    Like all SAAP adoptables, Addie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and flea/heartworm prevention. The only thing she is missing is you! September 24, 2025, 5:10 pm

Story
Augie is a charming French Bulldog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He was found wandering the streets of Cincinnati, and despite every effort, no one came forward to claim him. Now, this little guy is ready for a fresh start and a forever home! Augie is a typical Frenchie — full of spunk, curiosity, and endless affection — but he’s also been through a lot, and he needs someone who will take things at his pace. He can be a little unsure at first and does best with people who are patient, gentle, and willing to go slow as he learns to trust and feel safe. Because of this, Augie would thrive in a calmer home with older kids who understand how to respect his space and let him warm up on his own terms. Once he knows you’re in his corner, he’ll be your loyal, goofy, snuggly sidekick for life. He enjoys short walks, cozy naps, and being part of the action (especially if it involves snacks). If you're the kind of person who believes in second chances and building trust one step at a time, Augie might just be the dog for you. Ready to meet Augie? Fill out an adoption application today and give this sweet boy the gentle forever home he deserves. 💙

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Gia, a delightful young pup who is equal parts curious, energetic, and full of joy! Born on August 30, 2025, this sweet girl weighs 7.9 pounds and is ready to explore her world right by your side. Gia's mom is a beautiful pure bred Boston Terrier who found herself on the streets.  We suspect the dad is a traveling salesman who took advantage of this sweet mom.  A good Samaritan rescued the mom and fostered her puppies until they were 8 weeks old.   Gia is a playful little sweetheart looking for an active household that can match her enthusiasm for life. She would thrive in a home with kids who are ready for fun and games, with an active couple who loves adventure, or with a stay-at-home person who can keep up with her lively spirit! Like all young puppies, Gia is smart and eager to learn. She needs a family with the time and patience to continue her training and socialization, helping her grow into a confident, well-mannered adult dog. She is ready to absorb everything you teach her and become the perfect companion. If Gia sounds like the energetic and loving addition your family needs, her adoption fee is $350. Please complete an application on the website:  www.adoggie4you.org . This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bandit, a handsome young pug with an adventurous streak and a heart full of love! Born around May 14, 2024, this sweet 18.4-pound boy was found exploring a local subdivision, charming multiple neighbors along the way. While everyone wanted to help the little runaway, Bandit proved himself to be quite the escape artist, cleverly digging out of various yards in his determined quest to find the action! Bandit is a true social butterfly. His main goal in life is to be right where the people are. When he gets loose, he doesn't run away; he rushes towards companionship! He is looking for a secure yard and a family who will give him plenty of attention and keep him close by, satisfying his deep desire to be part of the pack. Bandit has been fully vetted and is now receiving treatment for anaplasmosis, a common tick-borne disease discovered during his initial exam. He is doing great and just needs to complete his 30-day course of medication. He's on the mend and ready for his fresh start. This resilient, people-loving pug is eager to trade his days of solo adventures for a lifetime of cozy cuddles and family fun. If you’re looking for a loyal, friendly companion who promises to keep you entertained and loved, Bandit is eagerly waiting to steal your heart! You can apply for Bandit at www.adoggie4you.org.  His adoption fee is $350.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. Born on August 30, 2025, Griffin weighs 11.8 pounds and has a quiet charm all his own. Griffin’s mom is a beautiful pure bred Boston Terrier who found herself on the streets.  We suspect the dad was a local unnamed politician that promised the moon.  A good Samaritan rescued the mom and fostered her puppies until they were 8 weeks old.   Griffin is our shy boy.
