Story
Lucky is a gentle soul who just needed a little time to feel safe. When she first arrived, she was very scared and unsure of her surroundings, but with patience and care, she has truly begun to blossom. Lucky has gradually opened up, building a small circle of people she trusts-and once you're in that circle, you'll get to see her sweet, goofy, and playful personality shine. She has a curious nature and shows interest in other dogs, so she may enjoy having a canine companion, whether in the home or through regular playdates. At this time, it's unknown how she would do with small animals like cats.Lucky is still learning about life indoors and may not yet be house trained, as she hasn't had much experience living in a home environment. Because of this, she'll need a patient and dedicated adopter who is committed to helping her learn through positive reinforcement training.Due to her sensitive nature, Lucky would likely do best in a home with older children who can respect her boundaries and continue building her confidence. With the right support and a loving home, Lucky has so much potential to continue growing into a loyal, fun, and deeply rewarding companion. Lucky is waiting to be spayed and will need a local family who can bring her in for her surgery date. Primary Color: Black Brown Weight: 24.7 Age: 6yrs 1mths 2wks

Story
Meet Zoey 💛Zoey is a beautiful 5-year-old German Shepherd with a heart as big as her paws. She's the perfect mix of playful energy and soft, snuggly sweetness. The kind of dog who will happily chase her favorite toy one minute and melt into your arms the next.True to her shepherd nature, Zoey absolutely adores her people. Her love runs deep, and she makes it her mission to ensure her family feels it every single day. Whether it's staying close by your side, checking in on everyone, or gently leaning in for affection, Zoey is all about connection. She also shows this love by making sure no possible intruders come near her yard or house. After all, that is the German Shepard love language! She's currently on a weight loss journey and feeling great about it! Zoey is working toward staying in tip-top shape so she can keep doing what she loves most, like running, playing, and enjoying life to the fullest. She would thrive with a family who can continue supporting her active lifestyle and celebrate her progress along the way.Zoey has lived successfully with other dogs and could happily share her home again with the proper match. She'd also be perfectly content as the queen of her castle too, soaking up all the love and attention for herself. She's learning to feel more relaxed and confident on leash, and she truly shines on long-line "sniffy" walks where she can explore the world at her own pace. Add in a sunny patch of grass, and you've got Zoey in her happy place. Content, calm, and soaking it all in.Like many intelligent working breeds, Zoey has a busy brain and a curious spirit. She loves having a job to do and benefits from positive, Animal Kind training that keeps her mind engaged and builds healthy habits. She's especially tuned in to movement and sound, so she'll do best with a family who understands and appreciates the unique needs of herding and working dogs.At the end of the day, Zoey is simply the sweetest big girl. Full of love, loyalty, and warmth. She's ready to find her forever family, one that will cherish her, guide her, loves all her Shepard antics and give her all the affection she so happily gives in return. If you're looking for a devoted companion with a playful spirit and a gentle heart, Zoey might just be your perfect match 🐾 Put in an application today! Story
*Currently fostered in Houston Texas, available for out of state adoptions via rescue transportation. Video meet and greet available prior to commitment* This dog is a collaborative effort between Moka's Mission and Houston Chow Chow Connection. Mocha is a fluffy mixed pup just eager to find her new lease in life. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas just moments before being euthanized. She is believed to be around 4 years old, and based on behaviors definitely has GSD, Chow Chow, and even possibly husky mixed in her as well. Current weight around 65, 70 lbs. Mocha is a smiling, eager to please, extremely intelligent pup who clearly has been desperate for reaching a potential that was never offered to her prior. She loves to play with toys now, ( was unfamiliar with on arrival) and can be quirky, and vocal during her playful bouts. A game of tug which result in some head pats is her favorite. She also is very smart, and when given attention and motivation is quick to learn. She already knows several basic commands including sit, shake, kennel, wait, settle, and leave it. She is extremely versatile and once she trusts you, will give you her best. If you want to go hiking or exercise, she is all about it. If you want a pup to relax in the home and enjoy a movie day, she is ready! She loves to curl up on the couch or at your feet when it's time to settle down, but when it's time to go she is the first one to be there and ready for you. She also loves to keep you company while you do the most menial house chore's such as laundry or dishes. Mocha clearly was kept away from other dogs and animals when she was owned previously, so we do think she'd be best as an only pup. Proper continued socialization training would be required in order for her to eventually be able to share space with other dogs, but she would need to be socialized as an only dog first before considering adding another in. She clearly has a desire to want to know other dogs and can walk by them and flirt while on leash just fine during walks. However, she hasn't had enough time and proper playmates to engage in playtime at present without being rough. Unfortunately, she is not ok with cats, which is to be expected of the breeds she possesses. Mocha is fully vetted meaning she is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and on monthly prevention for flea, tick, and heartworm. Her adoption fee and transport is dependent on services used. Story
**About Jamie:** Jamie is an international rescue all the way from Taiwan. While "international adoption" might sound like a major undertaking, we have years of experience streamlining this process to make it as smooth as possible. We’ll be right by your side to explain every step! The Journey Home Once your application is approved, the final step of Jamie’s journey begins. Adopters are responsible for picking her up directly from a major international airport. Common arrival hubs include: West Coast: SFO, SEA, LAX, YVR. East Coast & Central: JFK, IAH Meet Jamie: The Wiggle-Hip Wonder! Jamie is a gentle soul who truly blossoms once she knows she’s safe. While she might start off a little shy, her "second impression" is unforgettable—once she recognizes you, she transforms into a bundle of joy, greeting you with a wagging tail and her signature "hip wiggle" dance. 🏠 Home Life & Manners Home Alone: Jamie is a dream when left alone. she does not suffer from separation anxiety and is not destructive. The Kitchen Rule: Because Jamie is a big fan of food, she’s a bit of an "aspiring snack thief." It’s important to keep counters clear and store dog-unfriendly foods (like chocolate) securely out of reach. Sleeping Habits: She is very adaptable! She is happy on a sofa, a floor mat, or an elevated bed. In her current foster home, she is successfully crate-trained for naps and bedtime. While she might try to sneak onto the big bed for morning cuddles, she is very obedient and will hop down if asked. Potty Training: Jamie is a pro at going potty outdoors. She is currently a "blank slate" regarding indoor pee pads, so she’ll do best with a family that can maintain her outdoor routine. 🍖 Food & Training People-Friendly: Jamie has zero food guarding with humans—you can even take a treat right from her mouth. Dog-Friendly: She eats peacefully around other dogs as long as everyone has their own space and bowl. Treat Tip: Jamie gets very enthusiastic about snacks! Because she can be a little "impatient" when taking treats from fingers, we recommend feeding her from an open palm or giving her a gentle "easy" reminder. 🚶 Walks & Adventures On the Leash: Jamie loves her walks. She gets so excited that she might try to beat you out the door! We recommend putting your shoes on before grabbing the leash. Once she settles into her pace, she is a steady walker and isn't bothered by squirrels, birds, or cats. Car Rides: She is an excellent passenger—no carsickness here! Water Fun: Jamie is very cooperative during baths and is unfazed by the sound of a hair dryer. She may try to pull her paws away during nail trims, but with a slow, patient hand, she does just fine. 🐕 Social Butterfly (On Her Own Terms) With Dogs: Jamie gets along well with other pups but prefers a "polite hello" (sniffing) over an immediate "puppy tackle." If a dog is too high-energy right away, she’ll give a small bark to set a boundary and then simply walk away. With People: She is a friend to everyone—men, women, children, and seniors alike. First Introductions: To win Jamie over, start low and slow. Instead of a big, enthusiastic approach, crouch down and let her come to you. Start with head pats, and before you know it, she’ll be leaning against your legs for more. 💪 Bravery Note Jamie is remarkably brave when it comes to loud noises. While most dogs hide from fireworks or loud "pops" (like a bug zapper), Jamie doesn’t bat an eye. She is one cool, collected girl! Is Jamie the missing piece to your family? If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and wiggle-prone companion, Jamie is ready to meet you!

Story
At just 11 months old, Santiago is the perfect mix of puppy charm and growing confidence. He’s a happy, curious boy who loves to explore, play, and be near his people. Whether it’s going for walks, chasing toys, or learning new tricks, Santiago is always up for some fun—and he’s a quick learner, too! He gets along great with other dogs and would thrive in a home that can keep up with his playful energy while also giving him the love and guidance all young dogs need. Santiago is currently in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, so we can’t arrange a meet-and-greet, but don’t worry—once adopted, he’ll fly north and his new family will just need to pick him up at the airport. It’s an exciting way to welcome a new best friend! If you’re looking for a sweet, social pup to grow up with, Santiago is ready to meet you
