Story
Kingston is a fun-loving, goofy ball of energy with the heart of a puppy! Though he may not realize just how big he is yet, his enthusiasm is as large as his playful personality. At just over a year old, this German Shepherd mix is still learning about the world around him and is simply excited about life.Kingston is very smart and ready to learn - While he's still figuring out the basics of training, he's a blank slate with huge potential! He's a quick study and will do best with a dedicated, patient owner who has experience with large breeds and is ready to keep up with his lively spirit! Kingston thrives on snuggles and being around people, making him a very loyal, and bonded addition to your family. He gets along with all dogs and people, and his affectionate nature will have you wrapped around his big, fluffy paws in no time! He's looking for someone who can provide structure, guidance, and plenty of love. If you're ready for a playful, smart, and loyal companion, Kingston could be the perfect fit for your family! He needs plenty of space with a big yard to explore, and requires an active companion who is willing and able to take him on adventures to drain some of that infectious energy. Next Steps: If Kingston sounds like your perfect match, our staff will be happy to schedule a meet-and-greet after an online application is submitted. Let's help Kingston find her forever family and the happy home she deserves!Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Kingston's person? Apply today!TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible, and drastically effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting! Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only.Due to the high number of applications, we will ONLY be following-up with the chosen adopter. If you do not hear back within a week, it's likely the animal has already found a forever home. Phone inquires and emails regarding the status of your application cannot always be prioritized.Animals cannot be held for potential adopters for more than 24 hours without a legitimate reason. Story
Meet Koda! 💗Koda came to us when her family could no longer care for her. In her previous home, she was described as an active gal with plenty of energy to burn. Since she's still new to the shelter, we're getting to know all of her quirks. What we do know is that she loves to play and will thrive in a home that can provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation. Koda previously lived with cats, though she had a habit of trying to "pet" them with her paws-so a home with a dog-savvy cat could be a good fit. That being said, we believe Koda would do best as the only dog in the home. However, with proper introductions, she may enjoy having dog friends outside of her household.Do you think you could be Koda's person? Here are some ways to find out:1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 43.5 Age: 3yrs 5mths 0wks
