Story
At just 11 months old, Santiago is the perfect mix of puppy charm and growing confidence. He’s a happy, curious boy who loves to explore, play, and be near his people. Whether it’s going for walks, chasing toys, or learning new tricks, Santiago is always up for some fun—and he’s a quick learner, too! He gets along great with other dogs and would thrive in a home that can keep up with his playful energy while also giving him the love and guidance all young dogs need. Santiago is currently in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, so we can’t arrange a meet-and-greet, but don’t worry—once adopted, he’ll fly north and his new family will just need to pick him up at the airport. It’s an exciting way to welcome a new best friend! If you’re looking for a sweet, social pup to grow up with, Santiago is ready to meet you

Story
*Currently fostered in Houston Texas, available for out of state adoptions via rescue transportation. Video meet and greet available prior to commitment* This dog is a collaborative effort between Moka's Mission and Houston Chow Chow Connection. Mocha is a fluffy mixed pup just eager to find her new lease in life. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas just moments before being euthanized. She is believed to be around 4 years old, and based on behaviors definitely has GSD, Chow Chow, and even possibly husky mixed in her as well. Current weight around 65, 70 lbs. Mocha is a smiling, eager to please, extremely intelligent pup who clearly has been desperate for reaching a potential that was never offered to her prior. She loves to play with toys now, ( was unfamiliar with on arrival) and can be quirky, and vocal during her playful bouts. A game of tug which result in some head pats is her favorite. She also is very smart, and when given attention and motivation is quick to learn. She already knows several basic commands including sit, shake, kennel, wait, settle, and leave it. She is extremely versatile and once she trusts you, will give you her best. If you want to go hiking or exercise, she is all about it. If you want a pup to relax in the home and enjoy a movie day, she is ready! She loves to curl up on the couch or at your feet when it's time to settle down, but when it's time to go she is the first one to be there and ready for you. She also loves to keep you company while you do the most menial house chore's such as laundry or dishes. Mocha clearly was kept away from other dogs and animals when she was owned previously, so we do think she'd be best as an only pup. Proper continued socialization training would be required in order for her to eventually be able to share space with other dogs, but she would need to be socialized as an only dog first before considering adding another in. She clearly has a desire to want to know other dogs and can walk by them and flirt while on leash just fine during walks. However, she hasn't had enough time and proper playmates to engage in playtime at present without being rough. Unfortunately, she is not ok with cats, which is to be expected of the breeds she possesses. Mocha is fully vetted meaning she is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and on monthly prevention for flea, tick, and heartworm. Her adoption fee and transport is dependent on services used. For more information on Mocha, please contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com, or to apply for adoption please fill out an application here: https://form.jotform.com/41173109602142

Story
Hi friends! My name is Laika (Loretta in Mexico) and here's more about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: German Shepherd mix Age: 1 year 2 months approx.  Gender: Female Weight: 37lbs (17 kg)  Length: 55cm  Height: 46cm  Current Location: Guadalajara Mexico RESCUE STORY - I was rescued on December 1, 2024, at just 45 days old. My superhero hooman rescuer heard about me - a tiny puppy found alone wandering on the street. Although I showed no signs of physical abuse, it was clear that I had been abandoned by my previous 'family'. Thanks to my foster hooman's tender love and care however, I have been able to thrive and grow into the gentle, sweet and loving pup I am today! TEMPERAMENT - The hoomans around me describe me as a sweet, shy pup with a gentle soul. I am playful, affectionate, friendly, and I get along wonderfully with doggos of all sizes. I have grown into a very obedient and loving companion, who is easily motivated by sausage treats and mangoes. Although I can be shy, I love to be around the hoomans and I get super excited when my foster comes home. I always greet them with joy, knowing a big hug is coming. Besides that, I am a calm pup who likes to play with my favourite toys - Plastic bottles, water jug caps, and empty toilet paper rolls!  ENERGY LEVEL - Low GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yes! Dogs – I get along well with other pups and currently live with many other doggos at my foster's house! Cats – Unknown (no video footage provided) but I currently live with a cat  PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuers say I am okay with my leash skills, however I may need some additional patience and training  House trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Crate trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Car rides – My rescuer says I am good with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES:  I am spayed and vaccinated. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.  ##2452100##

My name is Sorme, and here is a little info about me:Breed: Shepard mix (possibly Indian Pariah/German Shepherd mix)Age: 2 1/2 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 26 kgHeight: 20 inches Country of origin: Middle EastHighlight(s): Sweet, obedient, great with kids and dogs, fast learner A little about me:Hello, my name is Sorme! I’m a sunshine soul with big ears and a bigger heart! I love cuddles, treats, and learning new things that make you smile. I was found as a tiny, frightened puppy wandering the streets of the Middle East—hungry, alone, and unsure of the world around me. I didn’t know what love felt like… until kind humans took me in, gave me warmth, safety, and the care I desperately needed. Now, I’m ready to share all the love I’ve been saving up with my forever family. I’m very friendly, obedient, and a fast learner. I love people and other dogs, especially kids who like to play! I’m eager to please and always up for a game or a cuddle. My heart is full of trust and joy—I just need a loving home to give it to. I'd do well in a home that enjoys companionship and is looking for a smart, affectionate dog. If you have other pups or kids, I’ll fit right in. I haven’t met cats yet, so I’m not sure about them, but I’m open to new friends!More About Me: Energy Level: Moderate to High —I love walks, playtime, and learning tricks, but I’m also happy to relax near you after a good day. I Get Along With: Dogs: Yes! I love doggy friends. Cats: Unknown – I haven’t met any yet. Kids: Unknown – Yes! Fears: None observed, but please be patient as I adjust to my new environment. I promise to blossom with your love. Training: Leash skills: Yes, but please continue to guide me in my new home.House trained: Yes but please continue to guide me in my new home. Health Notes:I am healthy and ready to go!I have been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is 800 CAD plus applicable taxes. Due to the present confrontational Middle East environment where this dog resides, airlines are minimally operating. He/She may therefore be delayed in arriving to Canada. He/She will eventually be sent, but we have no specified timeframe at this moment. If you are willing to wait, we and this dog appreciate your patience. Most passengers from the Middle East now require a fee to accompany a dog on a flight. Due to this, if a rescuer finds a flight with this requirement, we will contact you to see if you are willing to pay the passenger. You are under no obligation to do this. If not, another flight will need to be searched for, though there is no guarantee a free or lower cost one will be found. Though oft times a passenger is requesting higher amounts, the fee will not exceed $250. Our rescuers work extremely hard finding flights and spend tremendous amounts of money caring for and sending these dogs to safety. They simply haven't the extra money to cover this. Thank you for your understanding. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.  [MID EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2365208##

Story
Good day! I'm MARLIN (Martin) and here is a bit of info about me: Breed: German Shepherd / CannanAge: 8 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 56 lbs / 25 kgHeight: TBDCountry of origin: IsraelHighlights: Handsome, energetic, smart, smiley, active Check out this smile! After seven long years of waiting in a shelter, I’m finally ready to bring my endless energy and happy spirit to a yard of my very own. Confiscated from a neglectful home when I was just a year old, I’ve spent the last seven years living in a local shelter. While it’s been a long wait since 2018, I’ve never lost my happy, smiley spirit. It is finally time for me to find a real, stable home environment where I can belong. I am a very smiley and happy boy! Being a smart pupper, I’ve already mastered basic training like walking with a halti, heel, sit, down, and place. I’m quite energetic and live for the outdoors, never saying no to an adventure. While I can play nicely with other dogs, being a bit selective means I’d honestly prefer to be the only resident dog in my forever home, more attention for me!I’m even a brave boy who stays calm at the vet's office. My dream is an active family with an experienced owner who can continue my training and review what I know.Since I’m happiest outdoors, a home with a yard would be perfect to help me slowly acclimate to living inside.Because I’ve lived in a shelter for so long, a house is a new concept to me, so a little time and patience to understand that "home is a great place to be" is all I ask. See me in action: https://youtu.be/Ua0EzZr-qNchttps://youtu.be/Lr8EJ2Zkc1I.  https://youtu.be/udM_Cc-MOgk. Energy Level: high Fears: unknown/none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: Leash skills: yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: No, as I live in a shelter environment. Please be prepared to help me learn! Health notes:I’m healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $650.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.   Please contact Shannon at  shannonmatley1@yahoo.com or  512-581-2334 for more information or to adopt. Adoption available to Pacific NW residents too. Hi everyone, I am the lovable Lucky and here's some information nabout me: Age: 1 yearBreed: German Shepherd/Husky mixWeight: 42 lbsHeight (ground to shoulder): 24 inchesAge: 4 yearsGender: Female My rescue story starts in Texas, where I was dumped from a pickup truck on a country road. I ran after the truck to catch up with my people, but I couldn't catch up, so I stayed on the road, not knowing what to do next. The experience had me so frantic, I was running back and forth. I just couldn't believe what had happened to me. Fortunately a lovely lady witnessed this and came to my rescue and took me to her house. She also took me to the vet to get me fully vaccinated, spayed and tested for heartworm (fortunately negative). I was on my best behaviour at the vet and even did well with the car ride. I love to run with the big dogs and adore all people, including older kids. Very small kids and cats would not be good combinations, just because I would be too energetic for them or might want to chase cats - seems like a fun game! I am also house and kennel trained and walk well on leash. My foster has been teaching me commands like 'sit' using food, which is a great motivator for me. As a clever girl, I tend to get a bit bored easily, so I will adore a household with people I can interact with. My current foster says that I bring a great deal of joy to their family and I know that I will be the best dog ever for my new adopted family. Will you be the one? An adoption fee of $100 applies.
