Story
MEET NICKEL Nickel is an 8 month old shepard mix rescued near the Semiahmoo resort near Bellingham WA. He and his brother Dime, along with their mom Penny and her brand new litter of 11, were rescued and brought into the care of Happy Tails fosters around the end of April. Nickel is a sweet and loveable goofball who aims to please and loves pets. He is very food motivated and has been a joy to train. He is great with other dogs and will continue to learn how to behave and live with cats. He is easy to correct and will be a great dog to train and grow with. Nickel has been an off leash roam around free dog for most of his life but has quickly adapted well to living in a home and getting better and better on the leash. Nickel would do well in a loving home environment with an owner or family that has the time and capacity to train him and help him continue to grow into a great dog. His mom was a shepherd mix around 40 pounds and so he should be a great family size dog. If you are interested in providing a forever home for this sweet and playful guy, please fill out an application at happytailshappyhomes.org.

Story
Hello Hello! It’s me - SIF - again! I know, it’s back to school time and everyone is getting into their routines. But let me tell you why adopting me would be beneficial! I am so smart I can help the kids with their homework - you know the excuse “the dog ate my homework”? Well it wouldn’t be a lie if I was part of the family! I would make sure everyone woke up on time! I would lessen the housework by cleaning food scraps from the floor! And taking me for walks, ensures everyone gets off their devices and gets some exercise! I am a beautiful 6 month old German Shepherd girl, spay, weigh around 50 pounds, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. I’m incredibly intelligent, if I do say so myself, and would happily use treat/food dispensers, slow feeder, snuffle mat, puzzle toys, and maybe even nose work for my smart brain. I am potty and crate trained. I know “sit” and we are working on down, leave it and stay. I really enjoy playing fetch and returning the ball to be thrown again and again. I currently live with my foster family which include kids, a doggie and dog savvy cats!! Yes, cats!! Foster mom says I am the sweetest girl. I love cuddles and being loved on. I love playing and exploring but one of my favorite things to do is to sit, watch and take it all in. Yes, I am a little bit of a creeper but then we can gossip about what the neighbors are doing! Haha. I will need to be enrolled in positive obedience classes. Even though I am a big girl, I am still very much a happy go lucky puppy! Training will help me bond with my new family and teach everyone the correct way to train and interact with each other. I am very much a shepherd and attentive to my surroundings. If you are think your family is ready to be showered with lots of love and kisses, please fill out a statement of interest to make me part of your family forever! ##1745947##

Story
Sasha is loyal, smart, affectionate, cuddly, and so easy to have around. She is potty trained and crate trained, pretty good on leash, not hyper or barky, she has been great with the other dogs we’ve introduced her to, seemed to ignore and avoid the cat, loads and unloads in the car on her own… we literally have zero complaints! Also she’s a smaller German shepherd, only 58 lbs. she’s estimated to be 4 years old so she’s mature and confident and laid back. She is secure in herself and not super needy, but does not mind at all serving as your most loyal best friend and cuddle buddy. Sasha knows sit on command and seems smart to learn new things easily. Watch her personality here: https://youtu.be/OLUTD39VW3E?si=jMzndancbFGkPa-K She seems to be in great health, has a beautiful full coat, and wonderful disposition. We have not observed any stranger danger or unwanted behaviors. She is truly an easy girl from what we’ve seen. She was rescued along with her pup who you see in the video. Sasha is an awesome girl very deserving of someone to say yes to her. She will be loyal if you pick her.

Story
If you are looking for a steadfast, loyal companion with an attentive nature, this is your guy! He grabs your attention with a set of deep brown eyes that are alert and intelligent, followed by an amazing set of ears that stand straight up to show you he is attentive and all yours. He already knows a few basic tricks and will excel in obedience training with you by his side. Toby forms strong bonds and is alert to his surrounding, making him an amazing companion who is naturally protective. He can offer this peace of mind while being social and friendly. He enjoys meeting new people, giving everyone he meets, the warmest welcome, plus he can get along well with other pets, including cats! During his assessment he was incredibly respectful with our resident house cats, which you can see in his video profile here https://youtu.be/P5FQzfW_Zuo Toby’s good looks and personality let us believe he is a striking blend of Malinois and German Shepherd, but given he is a rescue, it isn’t a sure bet. He has a lean and athletic build and will likely top out at about 75-80 lbs. Whether it's agility training, fetch, or a long hike, he will always be ready for any adventure. At the end of the day, Toby has a goofy playful side and is so affectionate. He shows all the qualities of a capable, loving and dedicated companion, offering as many laughs and he does warm snuggles. His versatility makes him an excellent choice for families, individuals, or professionals looking for a loyal canine partner. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Meet Sweetheart Kuma !!🌸💖 Only 1 years-old , 50 pounds of Pure Love and Kindness - White Shepard Mix Girl! 🌸 Shepard lovers, do we have a perfect mini Shepard for you! 💖🌸 Kuma, a sweet and mature motherly dog, stands out with her gentle, quiet nature. ❤️ Kuma is the full package. She receives all the compliments in the world.🥰 Get ready to fall in LOVE!! 💖💖💖 Her gorgeous light brown eyes and charming personality will forever melt your heart and make you fall in love with her instantly. 💖 Kuma is all around amazing and a loveable and snuggly girl.💞 She is a love bug with a fun spirit and can build a great relationship with a furry friend, kids and adults. Her captivating appearance makes people stop to say hello and get to know her, as she is just a sweetheart. 🌸 My favorite thing about her though is how loving and affectionate she is without being overbearing. She is simply amazing and everything you could ever ask for in a furry companion. Kuma is a pretty perfect Shepard that is easy to love and please and once she bonds to her people she loves them with all of her heart. ❤️ 💗 Kuma Is a tiny sweet girl! She is the perfect size, not too big and not too small 🌸and has a great balanced energy about her. Making her the perfect travel companion and snuggle buddy. Kuma is pretty mellow, she’s not very hyper or jumping off the walls with energy but if you wanted to go on a mini hike in the mountains or brisk walk around the neighboorhood or park she can certainly be your girl.😘 She can match whatever energy you need her to within reason. She doesn’t seem like the marathon running partner type. She walks great on leash which will make adventures with Kuma that much more enjoyable. Sweet girl loves to explore and she always makes sure that she stays close by to her humans and would make a great companion to a semi-active household with a backyard. 💝🐶 She is also very dog friendly and had great interactions with all of the dogs we introduced her to. Kuma was very aloof and unbothered by the other dogs in the yard. She is submissive and simply prefers to chill around to observe! 💞🐶 She would do great at home with a chill or less active dog. She is the type of girly that will need to bond with her pack or doggy friends before she feels comfortable playing. Kuma loves to play with her husky foster brother Balto and sisters. You’ll find her out romping around in the backyard with them, sunbathing in the backyard, snuggling on the couch and going on adventures with them. She will do the same with her future doggy brother or sister too once she bonds to them. She is crate trained and potty trained. She is a really good girl and has the best house manners. Kuma does not need to live with other dogs and would do great as an only dog as well but will do best with a pack or with another dog in the home that is moderately playful like her and will also respect her space when she is done playing. 🐶💖 And if you don’t have another fur baby in your home don’t feel bad as Kuma sees her human as her best friend and will follow you to the moon and back. Despite her initial shyness, she quickly warms up to new people, displaying a cat and dog-friendly disposition.💞 Kuma also settles really nicely in a home and makes herself right at home and enjoys sleeping on the couch, dog beds, and her human’s bed. Really pretty much wherever she pleases. She’s a princess and likes to be treated like one. 💖 She definitely likes to snuggle and be loved on, but she also likes her alone time. Kuma would do best in a home with a bark yard where she can romp around and sunbathe. 🌞🌸 She is very photogenic and enjoys modeling in front of the camera. How can she not??!! Those gorgeous eyes and that glowing smile 💞 So if you love to take pictures and videos be ready and up your phone storage because her photos will go on the cover of the magazines.😀🥰 Precious girl Kuma is full of love and happiness and her beautiful pictures will never justify her amazingly sweet and kind personality. Kuma is one of a kind special gal who appreciates love and kindness.🌸💖She brings peace! . This amazing girl will love you forever and she is just looking for the same in return!!💖 Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/65454d636d5032d46e0d9645 Please email: Katiak@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions.
