FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks! --- Meet Cecil... one of these things is not like the others. Cecil is the only brown one in the litter. All the other siblings are black and white. We thought they were Border Collie mixes - hahahahaha - DNA says they are Mutts! Shepherd, Bully, Doberman, Aussie, Cattle Dog and even a little chihuahua. Hee Hee. His foster mom said: "Cecil is confident and friendly. He loves 'lovins' and to be acknowledged by people. He will try for a lap but overall defaults to sleeping on a dog bed. He hasn’t gotten on the furniture except when there’s a person to cuddle with. He is respectful of the other dogs and plays well his large foster brother. Cecil is smart and is on the brink of being potty trained. He does very well in his crate and sleeps through the night."Cecil thinks the resident cat is fun to bark at... but he does not chase. Dog savvy cats would be OK. Cecil's foster home currently got a couple of additional foster puppies too and he's been the best helper. We think his ideal home is one with a large fenced yard, and another friendly dog. This puppy is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot! Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Save-A-Mutt may require a training contract and refundable deposit (depending on previous dog experience) on our larger breed puppies. Adoptions typically take place in Everett. This puppy is ready for it's new home! Adoption fee is $475. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible. Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home. Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.

We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks! --- Meet Debra from our Hollywood Litter. Well, we thought they were Border Collie mixes and much to our surprise, not a single bit of BC. Instead they are GSD / Bully / Doberman / Cattle Dogs. All these fun breeds and a great start in their CA foster home, has some really nice puppies looking for homes. Debra is currently fostered with other dogs and even cats. She has been trained but the resident cat to leave her alone, so a home with dog savvy cats would be fine. Debra is pretty chill, very smart and has a great nose. She loves to romp and play, and is great in her crate. We think an active home with land or fenced yard would be great. She's the kind of dog that likes to go for long walks and would make a great hiking companion. She's just over 5 months old and about 35#. All the girls are smaller than we thought they would be, and might be 50-60# fully grown. Debra is a lovely dog. She is very sweet and enjoys a good cuddle on the couch in the evening. She can be aloof at first. She soooo loves playing with other dogs - we think a home with another friendly dog or two would make her pretty happy. This puppy is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated! She was recently placed on pet insurance and was cleared orthopedically. She did have a cyst recently removed from her neck, the result of an older injury likely from playing with her littermates before she came to Save-A-Mutt. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Well, we thought they were Border Collie mixes and much to our surprise, not a single bit of BC. Instead they are GSD / Bully / Doberman / Cattle Dogs. All these fun breeds and a great start in their CA foster home, has some really nice puppies looking for homes. We weren't sure if it was gonna happen, but the GSD genes kicked in and Hedy is the first puppy to have her ears pop! Now she really looks like a shepherd mix. She's stunning. Hedy is currently fostered with other dogs and doing great. Her foster mom says they are pretty smart. She loves to explore with the resident dogs. They are quick learners. She was a fan of chasing chickens so we think a feline free home and a chicken free home would be best. Hedy is crate trained and nearly housebroken. She can be a little guardy with her food, and the foster mom is working on this. It seems to be more in her crate. This puppy is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated! She recently was put on pet insurance and was cleared orthopedically. She's ready for adventures. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more.
