Story
Meet Lola: She is a pretty and Young German Shepherd mix, approximately 1 year old. She has demonstrated a good behavior and she isn’t destructive. She likes car rides and if left in the car for short periods of time she doesn’t shows separation anxiety. She behaves well inside the house, seems like she is potty trained, so far she hasn’t had any accidents inside the house. She likes to play and run when she has the opportunity. She probably weights 65-70 pounds, she eats well, she is calm inside the house, but has lots of energy in a doggie park. Lola likes to be next to the caretaker, but she can be alone and calm for few hours. She is a people’s dog, very friendly. She deserves a loving family who appreciated her loyalty and kindness. She will be current on her vaccinations, spayed and micro-chipped and will be a wonderful companion. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
Even though this boy is only one year old, he appears to have been through it. He's got tiny scars all over his body from fighting other dogs off. Luckily this has not interfered with his temperament regarding people or dogs, as he is exceptionally friendly and such a cutie. He looks like a little pittie German shepherd. He was accidentally trapped when a rescue friend was trying to trap a family of huskies. This boy would be happy in just about any type of home. He is curious and energetic but happy to also just lay by your side in bed or couch. All he wants is love! You got to see Gunner for yourself to really appreciate his appearance and personality. Contact us if you would like to set up a meet and greet! We look forward to hearing from you. Admin@ValleyCanine.org Text: 209.280.0892 FB.com/ValleyCanineSpecialists

Story
My husband and I found Bear hanging out in the middle of our street in our neighborhood at the beginning of Februrary this year. We took our 2 chihuahuas on our walk, and he followed us all the way home! We have been housing him in our garage/backyard ever since. We gave him a tick and flea bath and updated him on all of his shots. We named him bear because we think he looks like a baby bear. He is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met; kind, gentle, and playful. He's good with our other dogs, however our boy chihuahua and him don't exactly get along, which is one of a few reasons we are unable to keep this sweet angel.
