VITALS & BIO LEASH, HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED****SPAYED GREAT WITH PEOPLE AND OTHER DOGS CHIPPED DARK BLACK AND TAN SHORT COAT****FULLY VETTED It is with great pleasure that our German shepherd rescue is ready to announce the availability for adoption of the lovely young lady "Coco"! This wonderful lady is 18 months old, dark black and tan, small stature ( 60-70 pounds ), highly athletic, perfect symmetry, great demeanor and of course sweet as the come. Coco came to us along with Ace, both had been terribly mishandled including physical and mental abuse. Watching these pups overcome the past and step strongly into the future is an amazing enrichment for anyone. Our girl Coco is everything a German shepherd should be, loyal, alert, curious, friendly, open and of course a strong but in control protective instinct. This young lady misses nothing, she is always aware of her surroundings reading the situation and reacting appropriately. Between Coco's intellect, situational awareness and social skill there is little that can throw her way that she cannot handle. Though great with people, other dogs and children, one must open their heart and let her in to see her greatness. Coco performed very well in our socialization and training program revealing a strong desire to bond with humans, strong desire to train, great social skills and almost impossible to outthink! It is obvious that i, as her trainer, think very highly of Coco. To see her excel after her hard times is beyond description and is a true blessing. I believe that this young lady will fit in almost in good family situation that can provide her needs of exercise, continued training and unconditional love

VITALS & BIO LEASH, HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED FULLY VETTED GREAT WITH KIDS NEUTERED CHIPPED GREAT WITH OTHER DOGS CLASSIC BLACK AND TAN Our German shepherd rescue now has ready for adoption a very handsome, 18-month-old, male that goes by the name of will. This young man has a classic black and tan medium coat, great symmetry and a beautiful gait. Will is quite athletic, curious about everything, very attuned to training, loves everybody, great with other dogs and absolutely lovable! Our socialization and training programs were easily managed by will, showing great desire to train, strong desire to bond, great social skills with both humans and other dogs and a strong but in control protective instinct. Our boy is equally comfortable schmoozing with people or playing hard with both people and other dogs. To say that will is a love sponge is a big understatement, all he wants is your attention and affection! Will should top out at about 85/90 pounds would be my best guess though he has a ways to go. As is with any young German shepherd, the requirement of exercise, love, continued training and patience is essential. I personally believe that our boy will excel in any loving home.

Disclaimer: Please note that the breeds posted on our dogs' biographies are our best guess based on years of working with rescue dogs. Adopters who need to know the exact breed or mix of breeds of a particular dog must have the dog's DNA tested at their own expense. RESCUE DOG VILLAGE GUARDIAN, INC A 5013C NON-PROFIT ORGAINZATION WEBSITE: WWW.RESCUEDOGVILLAGE.COM OUR DOGS ARE MICRO-CHIPPED AND READY TO BE PART OF YOUR FAMILY TODAY! Our dogs are waiting for that ideal forever home where they will be cherished as deserving family members. It's sad these second chances are even necessary for these dogs, but we are committed to them and will devote the time and energy to their re-homing, and not just move them to save more dogs. We diligently and responsibly seek good matches, as we don't want to re-home the dog again. These animals have already endured more than they should have, and through no fault of their own. It behooves us to be honest and forthright, and we appreciate the same in return from applicants. VITALS & BIO GREAT WITH OTHER DOGS ****GREAT WITH PEOPLE MEDIUM LONG COAT FULLY VETTED NEUTERE D LEASH, HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED CHIPPED Lexi is the definition of what all animal rescues strive to help, in our case this young (36 months) German shepherd female survived hell and chose to embrace the future! Our girl came to us malnourished, isolated, parasite infected, beaten and terrorized, yet she is still loving, playful and happy to see each day. I have rescued many German shepherds over the years and each time they amaze me with their ability to move on and have good lives. In the case of Lexi, I was unsure how to proceed so I chose to rely on history and guess what, she hit the ground running. It was amazing to watch, this girl refused to be a victim, most of the time I was unsure who was training whom, I was blessed and humbled by the very presence of this wonderful creature! I can assure you that I learned more from Lexi than she ever learned from me, her presence has been a true blessing. As you might imagine our girl had no problems completing all of our socialization and training programs revealing a strong desire to train, a very strong human desire, super intelligence and the ability to handle dogs, adults and children with love and understanding. Lexi has the ability to fit into a loving family that can give her security, exercise and further training.

Loki is almost 3 years old. We have had him since he was a puppy. He is a very active and playful dog who doesn’t realize how big he is sometimes. He takes medication for anxiety daily mainly because of separation anxiety. We love our dog but don’t have the time to dedicate to him as he deserves. We are also planning on relocating to another state soon and will be unable to take him with us.

Mia is crate trained, working on her house training, loves to go for walks and she also loves kids, cats, bossy little Yorkies, naps, eating, playing with others and people! The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

This dog is   NOT   offered for adoption by Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA). This dog is solely a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Adoption Donation: $450 Located: NY  (Transportation costs included, please ask for more details )  Age:  1 year Weight: 58 Max is a sweet and gentle boy who would make a wonderful playmate for another dog, he absolutely loves other dogs and loves to play! When he’s outside, he loves to Rhondine play but inside he is very calm, and usually just lays down for a nap.    Max had a sad beginning. He was pretty much tied up outside, with no shelter for most of his young life, in a broad part of Mississippi. A rescuer was able to convince the family to give Max up and he settled into a foster home where he first experienced love and attention that he had been lacking Max was wonderful with their children, they have an autistic son and Max was very gentle with him. Max was very shy at first,  the family in Mississippi found it took him a few weeks to settle in and feel comfortable. After that Max loved to follow his foster mom around and give everyone kisses. He lived with cats and was fine with them.      Once he is comfortable Max walks well on a leash, is potty trained and friendly to everyone, his tail wags when he meets someone new. He loves toys and bones.    He is definitely a Shepard but probably has some black mouth cur in  him as well.   Max is a wonderful family dog that would fit in well in almost any home setting as long as there was someone to love him and welcome his kisses! We do think he would be best in a home with another dog, because that would help him feel comfortable and safe, and he really just loves to play! He does need some patience at first, because he will be scared, making another transition. But he has no aggression whatsoever, he just needs a special family to give him a little time, and then he will reward them with being the best dog ever!                          Please email if you are interested in adopting:  Mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com  February 20, 2024, 7:24 pm

This dog is NOT  offered for adoption by Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA). This dog is solely a courtesy posting for another rescuer.   Adoption Donation  $  295    Location/Fostered: in AR (Transport costs are included, please ask for more details)   Age: 1.5 years old   Weight: 61 lbs.   Hello, my name is Brianna. I am the prettiest Shepherd mix you have ever seen.  I am 1 1/2yrs old. My family used to live next door to where I live now. My original family got me to be part of the family. But, as a puppy, I like to play, get into things, and be taught to be house trained. So they decided to leave me outside alone. I was so  afraid. Half the time, they wouldn't even feed me. That's when my new family stepped in and took me. That was 4 months ago.  But, they already had 2 big dogs in their small home. So, they reached out to this nice rescue to help me find the best furever home. I am an active girl. I like all size dogs. I have never been around cats. But the rescue lady said I would be the one to chase the cat. I like children. I just have no manners and jump up. I am house trained and leash trained.  My ideal home would be one that hikes, goes to the lake, play on the beach. When I get a little older and feel secure, I would like to cuddle with you. I am ready to come home. Please fill out an application  www.fohari.org//aa/ . Can't wait to see you.            Brianna         Please email for more information on this dog:   alittlelonger2home@gmail.com     This dog is NOT offered for adoption by Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) but an Arkansas rescue partner.  Please contact them directly for more information.  February 20, 2024, 7:24 pm
