Story
Introducing Julia! 🐾😍 Julia is a gorgeous 2-year-old shepherd mix with a sleek coat, graceful build, and soulful eyes that draw you right in. She carries herself with grace, almost like a little deer, and her tall, expressive ears show exactly what’s on her mind. Julia is gentle, sweet, and very loyal—just like a true shepherd, she chooses her person and sticks by their side through thick and thin. She’s pretty low energy and would be perfectly content with the occasional stroll, followed by plenty of cuddle time. Her affectionate, easygoing nature makes her a joy to be around. She does well with kids, cats, and other dogs, and she’s food-motivated, crate trained, and housebroken. Julia is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to devote all her love and loyalty to her forever family ❤️ RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the New England area and delivered in RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please go to: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com

Story
This is MACON! The handsomest 2 year old male who is a very striking breed of dog and dog. Seriously, we're not sure his breed but we know he'll be a larger pup and he's wonderful. Macon was found running down the middle of the highway in Macon County, was found by some kind souls who took him in. Macon loves other dogs and kids, but he has a bit too much energy for the good Samaritans that found him. He foster sister is a 13 year old Chi that Macon is very respectful to, but the Chi is a bit cantankerous and doesn't like to share. Macon knows his manners, caught on to the basics very quickly, he knows to sit, stay and other basic commands. He absolutely LOVES toys. His fosters say he could chase a tennis ball or frisbee forever (fetch level pro) but he does very well when let inside to cuddle on the couch too. If you are interested in having this wonderful pup join your family, please let us know using this link: dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form. From there, we'll forward your application to his foster family who will be in touch. ======================================================================================== If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

Story
Meet Wesley! Adoption Fee: $449 includes transport Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Wesley is a handsome, happy-go-lucky dog who never meets a stranger. He was found as a stray, and a kind family took him in, made sure he was neutered, brought up to date on vaccines and preventions and gave him the care he needed. Now, he’s ready to find his forever family through Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue. Wesley loves everyone he meets and has a big, goofy personality! He’s a little clumsy and doesn’t quite realize how big he is, so while he means no harm, he could easily knock over small children. He enjoys the company of other dogs with proper introductions and hasn’t been tested with cats yet. This boy is full of energy and would thrive with an active family who can keep up with him. Multiple walks a day, playtime, or a large yard to run around in would make him one happy pup. Wesley is also very food-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. With the right family, Wesley will blossom into the loyal, loving companion he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate dog who will bring endless joy to your life, Wesley might just be the one! Wesley is just over 1 year old and weighs just under 40lbs. Here's the adoption application, please copy & paste. https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 **To see all of our pets available for adoption, please copy this link. https://www.petfinder.com/search/pets-for-adoption/?shelter_id%5B0%5D=AL450&sort%5B0%5D=recently_added Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter. PDAR.info@gmail.com COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. Story
Meet Akira! Akira is a beautiful and friendly girl and, though she's 12 years old, she still has plenty of pep in her step and is always up for a walk. Her calm, affectionate, and easy going demeanor quickly wins people over, before you know it you'll be secretly passing her bites of your meal and inviting her up on the couch for snuggles. Akira has previously lived with other dogs, she's playful at times but generally prefers just coexisting and enjoying their company. She doesn't have much experience with cats, but due to her breed and size we would recommend a slow introduction to ensure the safety and comfort of all animals. Akira would prefer an teens+ or adult only home (peace, maturity, and quiet are any old dog's dream) and she can't wait to find a family to love her throughout her golden years. Akira is currently in foster care, if you are interested in her please complete an adopter’s profile at parl.org and email cshamgochian@parl.org to set up a meet and greet

Story
Bailey Robinson is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Bailey is a special lady that will slowly and quietly work her way into your heart. Having spent most of her first year living outside with minimal human interaction she is slowly learning that being inside is pretty nice and humans can be too! She needs at least one other dog and a fenced yard. She extremely shy and skittish (flight risk at first), but will open once she builds trust and feels safe, but it will take time. Bailey loves to eat and is extremely food motivated, the quickest way to her heart is peanut butter and freeze dried liver, but really any treat will do-even apples. Once she trusts you she will come to you for pets and love. She needs a very patient adopter willing to give her the time to adjust and trust, but it is well worth it. She is incredibly sweet. She will benefit from professional training to help her continue to make progress. Teens and older only, busy kids are too much for her. She'd also prefer a quieter household while she settles in, too many visitors make her nervous. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today!
