Story
Hello, my name is Deanne Summers My father in law was recently diagnosed with stage 4, terminal lung cancer. He owns a Rottweiler, German Shepherd mix male dog, named Bruno. Bruno is 3-4 years old, who is a bit timid and a scaredy cat. I am heartbroken writing this email because I am huge dog lover. My family currently has two dogs and two cats. I would love to take Bruno into my home, however, my husband will not let me keep him. He is a hyper boy, who needs a lot of attention. He loves to play ball and takes walks with me. My father in law didn’t do any type of activities like this with him. So when he went into he hospital, I started walking him 3 times a day . We have been doing this since September 29th of this year. He can now walk nicely on a leash. He can walk past people on our walks and not be scared. He really has come so far. However, he still needs a loving home who would be willing to work with him.

Story
Roxy was abandoned when her owner died suddenly. Her shots were completely updated on 10/27/23. She's Smart, Energetic, and Loves to Play. She will be a great dog for someone who has time and energy for her. She's a beautiful dog that needs a good home. We are asking $100 adoption fee to offset the wellness vet visit and shots she just received.

Story
Meet Ike! Howdy friends, my name is Ike and since I'm a young adult, you might be wondering what the heck I'm doing at Albert's Dog Lounge! Well, you see, I have myself a funny little walk that might be a mild case of cerebellum hypoplasia. That just means I am what I am, and there's nothing to do to fix it. I'm happy and healthy, weighing just about 30 pounds, with more growing to do. I'm not in pain, and I'm friendly with everyone. I get along with other dogs, but if they are more my age, the better, because I don't always take cues the way I should from older pups that they don't want to play. I really like cats, and I like to play chase with them, but I don't ever hurt them. I'm a really good boy, and I'm working on going potty outside every time I need to go, and I'm completely crate trained. I do well with kiddos, too, but since I'm young yet, I'm still working on my manners, and I would never want to knock a little one over. I love love love playtime with my fur siblings here in my foster home! And I love to sniff and run and go for walkies! Just like any younger boy, I have energy, and I like to get it out of my system. I sometimes try to show the other puppers in the house that all the food is mine, so foster mom and dad are working really hard with me on this. In just one short week, they have seen a significant improvement and would love to share with my forever family how they can help me be the very best doggo friend! My new home should be fun, but also disciplined. My new family should want to add a devoted, loving, smart, loyal member! Do you think I can be the newest addition to your family? *Ike is being fostered in the Janesville area. Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $300, ($550 for a pair). Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. We only accept applications from Wisconsin. Coa is currently living with a foster near Milton, Wisconsin. Coa is a local owner surrender who found herself needing a new home due to her owner moving. Coa, Cane, and two of their puppies were all being rehomed and thankfully they were able to come to our rescue. Coa is a two year old female. She loves to play with other dogs, and while social with all dogs, she prefers dogs her own size. Just like Cane, she is also crate trained, active, smart, food motivated, and walks well on a leash. Coa is your typical GSD: beautiful, protective, energetic & loyal! She could be adopted with Cane. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. We only accept applications from Wisconsin. Cane is currently living with a foster near Milton, Wisconsin. Cane is a three year old local owner surrender who found himself needing a new home due to his owner moving. He is quite possibly the most beautiful dog you'll ever see! He is smart, crate trained, and loves to run in a fenced in yard. He is an active dog who is silly and will chase his own tail. He is food motivated, knows basic commands, and walks well on a leash. He is a Shepsky (Shepherd, Husky mix) & even more beautiful in person as the pictures show! He plays well with Coa (GSD), but in typical shepherd style likes to play rough. He is very smart & eager to please his people! He could easily be adopted with Coa, though he would also thrive in a home on his own. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
