Story
Willow came to the shelter after her owner,l passed away. Unfortunately, no one in the family was wanting to add her to their home so she came into our care. It took Willow a little bit before that tail started wagging. She was confused and sad. Now that she has connected with many volunteers and staff of the shelter, she gets beyond excited when she sees them.Willow is eight years young and would be very content spending her days with her person either sitting next to them on the floor on her bed or even on the couch cuddling. She’s learning running around the play yard is kind of fun and it’s even helped her slim down just a little bit. Willow can be good with other dogs, but may want to be an only child in her next home. This doesn’t mean that a meeting couldn’t potentially happen with the right fit. We’ve been working on her car riding skills and she honestly hates it. She stresses herself out in cars. You can see Willow behind the desk most days. She likes to be with her people but also is an alerter?? let’s you know when ANYONE is around. If you would like to add Willow to your home and give her the best life she can have, apply today! Or call the shelter to talk about her 262-723-1000Adoption information•8 years old •Spayed•Current for yearly vaccines •Microchipped •Good with dogs•80 when coming into the shelter You can call 262-723-1000 or email us at lakelandanimalshelter@gmail.com

Story
Breezer is an excellent companion dog, and he is very intelligent. He doesn't know a lot of commands, but learns things quickly. He would do best in a home with no young children and with owners that can spend extra time with him. He is a large dog that makes a big show of protecting his home, but he is not aggressive once he is introduced to humans and dogs. He definitely needs a handler in those situations though. Breezer has a sensitive stomach and his diet needs to be monitored. He can also be stubborn about food. He gets into a lot of mischief if left alone from extended periods of time. He has a slight limp in a front leg, which we were told might be due to a genetic cartilage/muscle issue or a neurological issue. The adoption fee is only there to make sure he isn't sent to a bad home. I will waive it if I can bring him to your home or if I'm able to somehow make sure he won't be used for fighting.
