Story
Thunder was left with us in 2019 when my son’s friend asked us to dog sit for a few days and never came back. Thunder is very sweet, loves to play, howls at sirens, and is scared of thunderstorms. Thunder is up-to-date on her shots, is used to the occasional kennel/dog hotel during vacations, has a wide vocabulary of commands. Her estimated age is 10 years old, and she kind of has old lady hips when she’s going downstairs at other times she will be in the yard playing with toys like she’s a six month old puppy. I do not know what happened to Thunder in her life before joining our house, but she gets scared when voices are raised, sometimes does not like to go outside in the dark (I will go outside with her), and this all makes her disposition eager to please, she loves praise. I have to move for my job to an apartment in a large city on the East Coast.

Story
Long story short, when we got her from her previous owner he didn’t disclose her behavioral issues/reactivity. We asked all the right questions but he lied about all of them. Unfortunately we are not in a financial situation to afford the training that she needs. She’s a sweet dog that needs the proper training. Please feel free to ask any questions!

Story
Pretty Pria has come a long way since she came in as a stray in neglected shape. If you look at pictures of her then and now, they’re practically from different animals! She’s much fuller, happier, and overall, a better dog thanks to the care she received at the shelter.Pria is now working hard on her social skills, but she is still pretty shy when it comes to strangers. She`s come a long way, but will need a kind person to continue her journey with her. She`s not a fan of little kids, so a household with children wouldn’t be great. Cats aren`t her favorite companions either, so she wouldn`t do well in a home with them. She`s looking for a loving home, but may want to be the only animal in the household. If you are looking for a loyal companion, Pria is the dog for you, but it’ll take some time and more than one visit before she will trust you enough to take her home. There’s no doubt that she will reward your dedication.Ask about her today! *Please remember dog meetings are by appointment with an approved application.Reach out to the shelter by calling 262-723-1000 or emailing at lakelandanimalshelter@gmail.com
