Story
Say hello to Annie! Annie is a 1 year old German Shepherd mix lady who weighs about 48 pounds. Annie is a sweet, happy, energetic girl! She spends her time playing, running, investigating, eating and snuggling. She loves to cuddle when she's tired at the end of the day. Also, how can you resist those amazing ears! And just wait til you see her bounding around in the snow like a gazelle :) Annie loves all dogs and is very submissive to dogs who are bigger than her. She has done well with respectful kids and loves to meet new people! Anie is potty trained and crate trained, and she knows lots of commands! She is not a fit for a home with smaller animals. She likes to know where her people are and will entertain herself with puzzle toys at your feet as long as she gets to be near you. Did we mention that Annie is super smart? If you are looking for a trainable dog, look no further. She would LOVE to go through a formal training course with her forever family. We think she'd thrive with agility training or nose work classes, too. She's very curious and loves to investigate her surroundings, so she will thrive with mental stimulation! If your home fits the bill and you're up for a fun-loving adventure partner, please apply to meet Annie! **I am participating in the Adoption Extravaganza! My adoption fee is $250**

At 63 pounds, I may be a big guy, but I'm filled with love and excitement that I can't wait to share with my new family. My friendly nature makes me a social butterfly-I love meeting new people and making friends wherever I go. I'm always ready to wag my tail and greet you with a big smile on my face. Energy is my middle name! I absolutely love going for walks and exploring the world around me. With my boundless energy, I'm the perfect companion for an active family who enjoys outdoor adventures. Not only am I eager to have fun, but I'm also a bright pup who loves learning new tricks and cues. I'll happily participate in training sessions, especially if it means earning tasty treats and your praise. Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. Story
Meet Bo, the magnificent 2-year-old German Shepherd with a heart as big as his size! Weighing in at an impressive 99 pounds, Bo is ready to find his forever home where he can thrive and spread his love. Bo's journey hasn't been without its challenges, especially when it comes to meeting other dogs. While he may not have found success in the past with canine companions, he has a heart full of love to give and could flourish as a solo dog. However, he might enjoy the company of doggy friends during outdoor adventures under the right circumstances. Bo's affectionate nature makes him a wonderful match for a family with 1-2 older children (he may become overstimulated with too much activity). He adores belly rubs, head scratches, and basking in the warm sunlight. Bo's playful spirit comes alive when he's chasing tennis balls or frolicking in the snow - he's a true outdoor enthusiast! Despite his size, Bo is a gentle giant who craves human companionship and thrives on affection. His love for his family knows no bounds, and he's sure to bring endless joy and laughter into your home. If you're searching for a loyal and loving companion to share your life's adventures, look no further than Bo. With his gentle nature, playful spirit, and unwavering devotion, he's sure to become an irreplaceable member of your family. Don't miss out on the opportunity to welcome Bo into your heart and home - adopt him today and experience the unconditional love of a rescued dog! Story
Hi, I'm Rusty. Thanks for taking a look at me! I know my cute face is irresistible, but remember that I will take up lots of your time and attention while I grow into an awesome adult dog. Socialization, training (including house training), and exercise are just a few of the things I will look to you for. Chewing, teething, and learning what is Okay and not Okay to put in my mouth are all part of the puppy experience. And, be prepared for the time and money for frequent trips to the vet during the first few months so I can get up to date on my boosters and vaccines. But most of all, be prepared for all of the LOVE, puppy kisses, and joy I will bring into your life. If you are up for the challenge and the fun, stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. Story
Hey there, I'm Leia! I'm a older Malinois looking for a relaxing home for my retirement years. My friends at Tails are unsure of my past, but it's possible I was hit by a car at some point prior to coming to the shelter. I have some old injuries that will require lifelong medication that is easily managed. Despite this, my foster family says I am extremely happy, sweet, snuggly, and friendly to every person and dog I meet! I've even been non-reactive to the cats I've met at the shelter, and I've been respectful to my foster family's little critters. I love giving people kisses and snuggling up next to you on the couch or in bed. I am very relaxed, rarely bark or make noise, and I'm potty trained! I'm staying with my foster family for now, so please email info@tailshumanesociety.org or call if you're interested in meeting me!
