🌺LILO🌺“Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.”🌴Lilo is an adorable 6/7 month old German Shepherd mix puppy. Her and her brother were dumped out in the country. We couldn’t leave them behind so they were trapped and brought into rescue. 🌴While shy at first, Lilo now absolutely loves attention/affection. Feeding time is her favorite! She squeals in excitement and her body wiggles so fast. She was under weight so we are feeding several times a day to correct that at a healthy pace. Lilo is currently 30 pounds. 🌴Lilo loves other dogs and we see no reason why she would have any issues with cats. She is good with kids and all people. Lilo is still learning to walk on leash so a physical fenced in yard is required. 🌴We have started her vetting now that her stray hold is up and will have all of her vetting completed by 7/19 including spay. If you are interested in adopting Lilo please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application. When applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Only complete applications will be considered. 🌴STITCH🌴“Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.”🐚Stitch is an adorable 6/7 month old German Shepherd mix puppy. He and his sister were dumped out in the country. We couldn’t leave them behind so they were trapped and brought into rescue. 🐚While shy at first, Stitch does now seek attention/affection. Feeding time is his favorite! He squeals in excitement and he dives into his bowl so fast. He was under weight so we are feeding several times a day to correct that at a healthy pace. Stitch is currently 33 pounds. 🐚Stitch loves other dogs and we see no reason why he would have any issues with cats. He is good with kids and all people as long as they go slow until he gets to know them. Stitch is still learning to walk on leash so a physical fenced in yard is required. Stitch loves laying in kiddie pools to cool off! 🐚We have started his vetting now that his stray hold is up and will have all of his vetting completed by 7/19 including neuter. Story
Introducing Reo, a 1 yr old Shepherd mix. He loves going on walks, chasing things, or cuddling in the couch. He is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. He loves kids but gets very excited so better with older kids. Not sure about cats, but since he likes to chase things, we think no. He gets along with most dogs, so if there is another dog, a meet and great would be set up. If you’re active and have lots of love to give, then Reo is your guy!If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Completing a questionnaire on any other website does not submit an application to our rescue, you must complete one on our website. Story
Originally named Logan, we adopted Rex on January 2, 2021, from Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control. Rex was born on 10-1-19 and is 5 years old. He has been well cared for and has regularly received checkups from our veterinarian. Rex loves our family and is very chill around us. He always wants to be where we are. He loves his chew toys, playing fetch and attempting to catch frisbees. While he will be outside when we are outside, he prefers to be indoors. He is highly protective of us, however, and has not been able to allow anyone outside our family to be in our home when he is present (we relocate him out-of-sight). He has been successfully boarded many times as our family vacations and such. We have used three different dog boarding facilities; each rave about Rex when he is picked up. Our vet is also always complimentary about his behavior, as well. Our children are grown and our schedules will no longer allow for us to care for Rex.

Story
Meet Charlie. He is a smart boy and not much for goofing around. He is a working breed so he always has tasks on his mind. He has been friendly with everyone he has met and might be a good fit with other dogs depending on the temperament. He is a GSD and estimated to be around 5 years old. Toys do not excite him but he does enjoy a good treat. He suffered some injuries before he came to the shelter but he is all healed and doing great. Please fill out an application to come and meet him.If you are interested in adopting this pet please visit www.blackfordcountyanimalshelter.com to complete our online adoption application.
