**Bronx is in need of a new foster home! If you'd like to foster him, please submit an application through our website - www.helpingpawsonline.com/foster-application Meet Bronx! This happy go lucky dude came from a local shelter where he was brought in as an owner surrender. He is about 5 years old and weighs about 55-60lbs. He gets along with great with other dogs and is fine with cats. We are recommending older children for him partly because he jumps and partly because he isn't a huge fan of having his collar pulled on (we suspect some past trauma) so the kids would need to be old enough to know not to do that. His foster home is working on house training as he does like to mark, but he will wear a belly band without an issue so that might be a solution while he continues his training. He's a great dog that would love to be a part of a family! Bronx's adoption fee is $250, which will include all of his vaccine, neuter, and microchip. He is also heartworm negative and currently on heartworm and flea prevention. Interested in meeting him? Visit www.helpingpawsonline.com/adoption-application and apply today!

Story
I adopted Star in October 2022 from IACS. She was a companion for my father who lived alone. That is why I do not really know how she would do with other dogs or kids. She did chase cats and squirrels so that is why I said no to cats. She is very sweet but energetic. She is close to 4 years old up to date on shots. She is a very sweet girl. She does have some trust issues at first but warms up quickly. My father loved her dearly and passed in March of 2023. I need to sell the house due to my health decline and I really need to rehome this sweet girl to someone who understands the breed. Star is house broken and listens well to commands. I love her dearly and need her to have a forever home with room to run or long walks. She needs exercise but will also cuddle and rest by your feet she just wants to be loved. She was very helpful to my father making sure she was by his side to the end. It breaks my heart to re home her but due to my health condition I must sell home.

Story
Hi! I’m Xena, the warrior princess. I am 4 and half years old and I was rescued from one of the villages in Alaska when I was a young dog in a bad situation. I grew up in Alaska and moved to indiana. I’m very friendly & I love Kids, going swimming, adventures like hiking and camping, going for runs or bike rides, and couch time with my hoomans. I do well off leash and know how to sit, lay, shake, high five, and speak. I’m working on my leash manners, and stay. I have furry family members and do great with other dogs that are medium to large sized, but I have a high prey drive so I don’t do well with small animals. I would do great with someone who is active or lives on a farm. My mom is broken hearted to loose me, but mom is going through medical challenges and is unable to stay active with me. Please call/txt my mom with any questions, she loves to talk about me. My brother LeRoy is also up for adoption and we are very close, but we can go separately if we have to. (xxx) xxx-xxxx

Story
Hi! I’m LeRoy, and sometimes people call me Scooby as a nickname since my personality reminds people of Scooby Doo. I’m almost 2 years old, very inquisitive, and still have puppy-like energy. I’m shy at first, but once I warm up to you I am very loyal and protective. I love belly rubs, swimming, and playing with my sister Xena who is also up for adoption. I would transition better being adopted with my sister, but I can find a home without her if I need to. I know how to sit and I’m working on lay down as well as leash manners, though I’ve been told they have improved a lot and I’m easy to train! I would do well on farm or with someone who is active. Fetch is my all time favorite game and I will play for hours. Unfortunately, my mom is going through some medical challenges and can’t stay active with me. If you want to adopt me or me and my sister please reach out, my mom loves talking about me and sharing photos and videos!
