GSD/Husky/Lab/Catahoula mixFour year old Dexter W. is a mixture of Labrador, GSD, Husky and Catahoula. His former owner’s parents have recently taken him in and he is just too much dog for them. They describe him as “a fun, smart and energetic companion. He loves to be near us and is a loyal best friend who loves to play.”  They believe he would be best with a family with older children or a family of young adults because of his energy level.  He has never been around cats. Sakari has been with our family since late 2020, she was born August 2020. She is pure breed but I have never sent the registration in. She is house trained and has been put through off collar leash training. Sakari has lived her entire life with my family of 5. One child born in 2019. She's has always been great with our kids, except that she thinks she is smaller than what she is and barrels through anybody in her way. We also have a cat, unfortunately they have never gotten along. Sakari likes to chase the cat and the cat does not like it. Sakari is high energy and very needing of attention. I have unfortunately been unable to provide the attention she needs as I have gathered more responsibilities in the past 3 years, while also dealing with some family medical issues that have risen in the past year. Sakari really enjoys fetch which we play multple times a day. She is protective of the household, but is adjustable to being introduced to people that come in.

Enzo is a very sweet and loyal dog. He wants to be protective of his family which can be a challenge with young children he doesn't know. He has never bitten a human. Enzo loves to play fetch with balls, swim and walk in the woods. He would make a great companion for someone who is familiar with dogs and is in a quiet adult only household. We are making the difficult decision to rehome our sweet dog Enzo. Enzo is an all-white, 100lb, 2-year-old German Shepherd/Lab mix. His DNA results show he is 50% German Shepherd, 25% lab and 25% border collie. We adopted Enzo from a rescue at a farm in Mississippi when he was four months old. He is an incredibly loyal dog who likes to work. He has been in pack dog training since we adopted him and is always around dogs. Since Enzo was a puppy, we have been working with two different trainers, including behavioral training. He is very smart and good at his commands. Still, Enzo is very protective of his humans, which can be problematic in a neighborhood environment where many unknown kids and other animals are coming and going. Enzo loves running, digging, chasing, chewing on balls, and swimming. Enzo is in his element while in the woods and following new scents. His perfect home is one where he has ample outdoor space to run and explore in. Enzo is up to date with his vaccinations and neutered.

My newest foster joined us last night. Meet Estey, a very timid German Shepard. She’s 5 years old, 60 pounds and very sweet. She walks well on a leash and stays close to me when out side. Inside, she stays mostly in her kennel with the door open. She’s a little underweight. It will be awhile before she will be able to attend adoption events. As she gets comfortable in her new environment, I will be testing her with my resident dogs. She’s frightened of my overly friendly cats but shows no aggression towards them. She will need a secure fenced in yard as she might run. A home with no small children might be best for her too. I will post more about her as she comes out of her shell.
