Story
Meet Burton, the spirited Border Collie/Shepherd mix ready to charm his way into your heart! At just 7 months old and weighing 35lbs, Burton is the epitome of puppy energy and enthusiasm. This playful goofball is always up for an adventure, especially if it involves exploring the great outdoors or engaging in a spirited game of fetch. One of Burton's most endearing qualities is his affectionate nature. He loves nothing more than showering his humans with hugs and snuggles, and watching him roll around and wiggle with joy in the yard is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. While Burton is still mastering obedience commands, his eagerness to learn and please shines through. He's currently working on his potty training, showing promising progress with puppy pads indoors and he is crate trained. And although he may occasionally nibble on things he shouldn't (toes included!), his playful puppy antics are all part of his charm. Burton thrives in the company of other dogs, reveling in lively play sessions and companionship. A home with another energetic canine friend would be ideal for him, providing both playtime and valuable lessons in manners. Although Burton may be a bit shy around strangers, with patience and socialization, he's sure to blossom into a confident and loving companion. His fear of the unknown is understandable when you learn that he has recovered from being shot in the face and neck, with bullets remaining lodged in his body. He's a brave survivor with a zest for life, ready to embark on new adventures with his forever family. If you're prepared to continue Burton's training journey with patience and love, and provide him with a home filled with laughter and play, then he just may be the perfect match for you. So, what are you waiting for? Apply to meet Burton and discover the joy of having a playful pup by your side! This puppy is in Tennessee. Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. May 8, 2024, 2:05 pm

Gnocci is a sweet, smart, energetic girl who loves her people! She is sad to see you leave but is comfortable to stay and wait for you! She loves her crate and find safety within it but is okay not being locked in. She loves to give her people hugs and kisses! Gnocci knows a lot of tricks and commands! She knows sit, stay, park it, paw, get your toy, leave it, “do your business!” “Go to your room”, which is her crate and “go to your spot” which is a couch or dog bed! She loves treats and is food motivated to learn even more. She would love an active family to call her own! She loves to walk, enjoys time outside and opportunities to sniff. She is dog, cat and child friendly!

Story
CORTESY POST: PLEASE MEET SADIE! Sadie's foster mom has written this about her: Sadie is a 1.5 year old 65-pound Shepherd Mix who was rescued from a shelter in CA (about to be euthanized). She is intelligent, playful, and high energy. We do not know her history, so cannot confirm whether she is good with other dogs or cats (although from what we have seen, she is friendly to the neighbor’s dog through the fence!). She would do best in a home with a fenced yard and no children, as is still very young and needs training. She is very friendly and has shown no aggressive behaviors (loves to give kisses & loves belly rubs!). An ideal foster or parent for Sadie is someone who has experience training dogs, and is not intimidated by her size/energy. She listens to commands and in 2 days has learned to sit (now we are working on heel!). Other things to note: she arrived 2 days ago, has recently been spayed, and is up to date on all vaccinations and de-worming.
