Story
Meet Sasha! 🌟 At just 3 years old, Sasha has already overcome so much. She was picked up by Franklin County in April after being hit by a car on I-670, suffering pelvic and hip fractures. But this brave girl didn’t let that stop her! 💪🐾 She’s fully healed and runs, plays, and enjoys life to the fullest. Sasha’s a spayed German Shepherd with a big heart and a big personality. She’s smart, protective, sometimes silly — and absolutely devoted once she bonds with you. She loves a good game of tug, chasing Jolly balls, and keeping watch over her yard like a true Shepherd queen. 👑 Her foster mom says Sasha has come a long way with patience, structure, and training. She’s working with trainer and learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She needs someone experienced who understands the strong, loyal spirit of a GSD. ✅ Crate trained ✅ Great in the yard with a secure fence ✅ Sweet, affectionate, and hilarious once she trusts you 🚫 Best in a home without small kids or small animals Sasha’s perfect match? Someone who loves the Shepherd energy — confident, consistent, and committed to her continued growth. 🐕‍🦺💛 Trainer Brian has even offered to help with her transition and continued training for her adopter! If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a loyal companion who’ll give you her all, Sasha is waiting. 🏡💖

Story
Meet Lone Star! This big, handsome fella came to us as a stray in terrible condition. Lone Star was clearly neglected before coming to us; emaciated, covered in fleas, and suffering from skin and ear infections were just the most obvious symptoms. Although he has clearly had a tough life prior to ending up at the shelter, Lone Star remains a bright and happy boy ready to turn over a new leaf. He has done well with other dogs in the shelter. His finder's reported that he did well with their small dog, cat, and young children--however we have not seen Lone Star's interactions with cats or children in the shelter. Lone Star still needs some TLC as he continues to gain weight and recover from his previous life, but we are confident he will be a happy and healthy boy again soon! If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Lone Star home. If you are interested in meeting Lone Star, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
Meet Sasha! Sasha was surrendered to us by her owner when they could no longer keep her. Sasha is a young girl with plenty of puppy spunk; she would love an active family that will keep her mind and body busy! She can be a little shy with strangers both human and dog alike, but with a little time to warm up she will be your best friend! Sasha has done okay with other dogs in the shelter, and her previous owner said she lived with other animals previous and did well with them. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Sasha home. If you are interested in meeting Sasha, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
Violet is a loving companion who enjoys being with people and other dogs. She loves to play and snuggle! We adopted her a little over a year ago but unfortunately life changes have meant that we don’t have the time to give her the life she deserves. She currently lives with a cat and while they are not the best of friends they do okay together. Her best forever home would include a human who can spend time with her each day. Another dog to play with would be a bonus.
