When he arrived here, Joe had to have a large mass removed and he is currently recovering from this surgery. But he doesn't let it get him down, he's feeling better than ever and always greets us with happy wags and a smile! He is a middle aged pup who's over all that silly puppy business; he has mastered skills like "sit" already, and appears to be potty trained. Joe is ready to find his retirement home where he can sunbathe outside, relax on the couch, and eat all the yummy snacks a boy could want. Theo came from the Pickaway County Dog shelter in Circleville, OH - I have no back story on him other than when he was found he had been running with another dog, and people reported seeing him on the run for quite some time. From day one, Theo knew to wait and use the potty outside, no accidents in the house! He is quite timid, and acts like he was maybe once abused...? He just seems to be depressed, and I believe he just misses his dog friend. We are not in a position to have another dog though. Theo also does not want to listen and stay in our yard, he wants to bolt the second he gets the chance. I have tried working with him on commands, and does ok on some and others he just will not obey. I would like to find him a home with a fenced in yard or someone with experience in training a husky type breed. We have a one year old son that he has been with since birth, and I thought they would become the best of friends but everytime our son tries to interact with Theo he moves.
