Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Doyle.  Doyle is a Shepherd mix who has been in the DASH Prison program for some time and now he is part of the DASH Foster to adopt program.  He is a gentle boy who is extremely smart and loves to let his personality shine any chance he gets.  Doyle is housetrained, crate trained, and walks well on leash.  He loves all people, all other dogs, and has mastered all basic commands.  Doyle can be sensitive to sound in loud enviroments but he is currently working on this in his current foster placement.  Due to his foster placement he has not been introduced to children of any age or cats so proper introductions to both are needed.  This amazing boy is looking for his forever family and hoping yours will be it. If you would like to foster to adopt Doyle to see if he is a perfect fit then apply today!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 24, 2026, 9:42 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Davonna!! This beautiful, sweet german shepherd girl is looking for her forever home. We don't know a lot about her backstory, but since being at DASH, she has shown she loves everyone she meets. She is great riding in a car and loves loves loves playing with her ball. She is good off leash and has great recall. She is kennel trained, and is housebroken. She does well with male dogs with proper introductions, but she is not a fan of other female dogs. We think other small dogs or small animals are not a good fit. She has also not been kid tested, but older, respectful kids should be fine. She has come a long way since she has been with us and she will need someone willing to work with her to continue her training as she acclimates to her new home. She would be well worth the time invested to make her the best dog ever. Are you looking for a best friend to grow with & gain perfect loyalty in return? (FTA: Davonna is a part of our Foster-to-Adopt program. If you are interested in bringing her home to test how she would acclimate to your environment, apply today!) Story
RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

Story
Meet Sasha! 🌟 At just 3 years old, Sasha has already overcome so much. She was picked up by Franklin County in April after being hit by a car on I-670, suffering pelvic and hip fractures. But this brave girl didn’t let that stop her! 💪🐾 She’s fully healed and runs, plays, and enjoys life to the fullest. Sasha’s a spayed German Shepherd with a big heart and a big personality. She’s smart, protective, sometimes silly — and absolutely devoted once she bonds with you. She loves a good game of tug, chasing Jolly balls, and keeping watch over her yard like a true Shepherd queen. 👑 Her foster mom says Sasha has come a long way with patience, structure, and training. She’s working with trainer and learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She needs someone experienced who understands the strong, loyal spirit of a GSD. ✅ Crate trained ✅ Great in the yard with a secure fence ✅ Sweet, affectionate, and hilarious once she trusts you 🚫 Best in a home without small kids or small animals Sasha’s perfect match? Someone who loves the Shepherd energy — confident, consistent, and committed to her continued growth. 🐕‍🦺💛 Trainer Brian has even offered to help with her transition and continued training for her adopter! If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a loyal companion who’ll give you her all, Sasha is waiting. 🏡💖

Story
Meet Lone Star! This big, handsome fella came to us as a stray in terrible condition. Lone Star was clearly neglected before coming to us; emaciated, covered in fleas, and suffering from skin and ear infections were just the most obvious symptoms. Although he has clearly had a tough life prior to ending up at the shelter, Lone Star remains a bright and happy boy ready to turn over a new leaf. He has done well with other dogs in the shelter. His finder's reported that he did well with their small dog, cat, and young children--however we have not seen Lone Star's interactions with cats or children in the shelter. Lone Star still needs some TLC as he continues to gain weight and recover from his previous life, but we are confident he will be a happy and healthy boy again soon! If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Lone Star home. If you are interested in meeting Lone Star, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit.
