Meet Athena A Smart, Loving, Energetic Young Dog Looking for Her Forever Home Athena is a 11-month-old Great Pyrenees / German Shepherd / herding mix who was rescued after being dumped near our home at just 3 months old. She's now grown into a sweet, smart, and energetic young dog who ready for a family of her own. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations, very intelligent and already knows several tricks including sit, lay, spinning in a circle, and jumping through a hoop. She's still working on her recall, but learns quickly and has lots of potential with continued training. Athena loves being active and especially loves water and swimming, so she will do best in a home with a large yard or space to run. She does great with other dogs, is okay with cats, and does well around horses and goats. Because of her herding instincts, she needs supervision around cattle since she likes to chase. She isn't "housebroken" but holds it overnight while in an outbuilding.

Story
Ruby is a sweet and loving dog. She turned 2 in Nov 2025 and she still has puppy in her. She’s a fun, playful girl with a big personality. She has been with us for a year and a half and we have treated her as one of our own. Unfortunately she is in need of more care than we can give her. As part Shepard she needs lots of walking, and mental stimulation. As a whippet she needs to be able to run and she is fast. She is very obedient; comes when you call or whistle. She is good with cats and dogs. Great with kids but she does get a bit anxious when babies cry or scream, it tends to stress her out. The ideal family would have kids who could play with her and snuggle with her. She is crate trained and we would be willing to give you the fancy one we have for her. She knows come, stay, up, hugs, roll over, shake and speak. She can be stubborn but she loves to learn and she’s pretty quick too. Seriously such a great dog we are sad to lose her which is why giving her what she deserves is best.

We rescued Juno three years ago from being abandoned in an apartment complex! He is a great dog who is a fierce protector and loving companion. Juno does have separation anxiety and it has become a problem with a new baby in the house and jealousy. He would be best fit in a home without other dogs. Best fit for Juno would be someone who doesn’t have a super busy schedule as he needs lots of snuggles and attention! He is very gentle and good with small kids. Unknown on how he reacts with cats. I have a very heavy duty cage we use when away for him that I would provide!

Ginger forms strong bonds with her person and is a devoted companion who will happily settle into family life. Ginger is currently fostered in a home with both dogs and cats and does very well with them, making her a great fit for a variety of households. She is also housebroken and crate trained. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. Our rescue is 100% donation-based, including adoptions. While we do not have set adoption fees, we do require a donation at the time of adoption. These donations go directly toward saving other animals and preparing them for their future homes. Reba is a great girl! She was found roaming at a cemetery by one of our fosters. Reba is house trained, crate trained, walks good on leash, rides good in car and loves treats. She is dog friendly with slow intros but would also be perfectly content as an only dog. She can be a little slow to warm up to new people, but as soon as shes comfortable she will be their best friend! She loves belly rubs and will roll over begging for them. She is a big fan of stuffed toys and likes to carry them around in her mouth. Its the cutest! Reba is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm and tick borne disease negative and has been on preventatives! Our Rescue is 100% donation based all the way to adoption. We do not have set adoption fees, but we do require a donation to be made at the time of adoption. Donations go towards saving other animals and preparing them for their new lives in their new homes!
