Angus's Adoption fee has been lovingly sponsored , ??Thank You Christine ??Angus has never had a single adopter intersted in him, he's just falling between the cracks of the shelter system. Soon he will be one of the long term residents who never receive a second glance .180 days have passed since this boy was left behind in Moosic and nobody ever called regarding his absence. He was just another left behind animal in a sea of others who has no sense of past and no hope for future .We have enough hope for all of them .Angus is a 5 year old shepherd mix . He's quirky and cute , a gorgeous brindle color and not overly large .Hes tested selective with other dogs and we will do a meet and greet with an approved application .You can apply to meet Angus and give him a chance at a forever family by applying here : https://www.cognitoforms.com/griffinpondanimalshelter1/griffinpondanimalshelteradoptionapplicationfordogsYou won't know until you try ??

Story
Hey there, I’m Van! I’m a 9-month-old Shepherd mix with big dreams of finding my forever home. I’ve been hanging out at the rescue for a little too long now, and I’m ready to meet the right family who will love me for who I am. I’m going to be a big boy when I’m fully grown, and I’ve got these stunning golden eyes that everyone says are just beautiful. I love playing with my rescue roommates, but I get a little nervous around small kids because their quick, unpredictable movements scare me. That’s why I need a calm, home with active adults who will be patient with me as I settle in and get used to life outside the rescue. Once I feel safe, I’ll be the best companion you could ask for—especially if you love walking, hiking and any playtime outside! I don’t want to brag, but I’m getting better at walking on a leash, I’m pretty much housebroken, and I love hanging out in my crate. Oh, and cats? I’ve been okay with them too! If you’re looking for a loving, loyal pup who just needs a little time and patience, I think we’d be a perfect match. Could you be my forever home? I sure hope so! So swing by our website at www.rdrne.org to fetch an application. He's just waiting to be your LoveBug :-) You must be at least 25 and live within a 5-hour driving radius of Thompson PA. We check veterinary references and require all pets within the home to be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and maintained on heartworm and flea & tick preventatives. ##2021456##

Story
Travelling from the high desert in CA, cross country for many a day then to a wooded PA stop this story continues… Sadly his journey is not over. Still in search for his furever home, this sweet ol’ guy has so many tales to tell. At 7 years of age, dumped in a high kill shelter in CA he defies the odds by gettin’ rescued, however his life is still in limbo, unfulfilled. On a quest to find a person/family of his very own who will show him love, affection, compassion and cherish him throughout his golden years, he holds onto the dream tightly with both paws…. This is the saga of Preston, a precious, adoring gent destined to finally know kindness and security. At approximately 50 pounds, this adorable Shepherd mix is the perfect size to share a loveseat, overstuffed chair and/or bed sleeping/cuddlin’ and watchin’ tv or streamin’. Preston loves walkin’/explorin’ and nappin’. He is neutered, healthy, up to date on vacs/prev. Housetrained, considerate of everyone.

Story
Wylie is such a good boy. He is only 10 months old and a lean 50 lbs. Wylie does well in all situations and will make a great family dog, but is timid, til he warms up (does not take long). He is good with dogs and we can cat test. Would do best with an experienced family and a fenced yard and perhaps another dog. He is so much more handsome in person and friendly, affectionate, smart, and eager to please, once he knows you - not a mean bone in him. A must meet, for he will steal your heart for sure. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility. We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions! We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER dogs are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health.  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home. Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile. We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $695 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)   October 12, 2024, 2:02 pm

Story
Caesar came to me and my son's in February 2024 as a re-home. I was told at that time he was approximately a year old. He adjusted quickly and became our best friend. Recently, I've gone back on the road as a truck driver. I bring him with me but it isn't a happy life for either of us. He needs people and space. He is the sweetest boy with a lot of energy. My 11 and 16 year old sons rough house with him and he has never shown even a hint of aggression to them or anyone else for that matter. He is e-collar trained and stays in the yard. He loves belly rubs and cuddling. He is probably the best dog I've ever owned and we are very sad to have to do this.
