Meet Mollie Beth! Miss Mollie is finally ready for her forever home. Mollie is a beautiul German Shepherd mix born 07/01/2017, she was surrendered to us at no fault of her own alongside two other wonderful pups. Mollie is charismatic and social as can be, she loves making new friends of all shapes, sizes, and ages. She loves every new dog she meets, but as always we require a meet and greet if you already have any. She also adores children, and would make a wonderful fuzzy big sister to a home with kids. We have not yet tested her with cats. Mollie is very smart, she knows her name, and many basic commands. She loves going for walks, and being brushed makes her very happy.  When she came to us, Mollie had a mass on her belly we suspected to be mastitis. She underwent surgery and had this removed, and thankfully testing showed it was nothing to worry about. Unfortunately, she had complications healing from her initial surgery, which extended her recovery time by nearly two months. She endured daily treatments and cleaning of her surgery site, and was as patient as can be with her caretakers through the whole process. Mollie is truly a very special girl, and our one on one time during her recovery let us see exactly how wonderful she is.  Mollie is fully vetted, microchipped, and spayed. Meet Jepard!  This handsome shepherd wants to find his forever home. Jepard came in to us like many others as a stray who was never claimed. Sweet Jep was hungry, nervous, and starved for love. We fixed him right up, and now here he is! Jepard is, of course, a German Shepherd mix, with an estimated birthday of 01/01/2018. He may be well into his adulthood, but Jep is still full of life and wants to run and play the days away. Jep loves sniffing and tracking all sorts of smells in the grass, and we think he would love a large yard of his own to roam as he pleases. Exploring and playing aren't the only thing he loves, though, Jepard can definitely get behind a long nap on a comfy bed or couch. Jepard is good with other dogs, although he tends to like being the one in charge of the friendship. Of course, we always require a meet and greet if you've already got any other dogs at home anyways. He is very interested in cats, perhaps not in the best way, so we recommend a home without. Due to his energy level and him not fully understanding his size, he is best suited to a home with no kids under 10.  Jepard is fully vetted and microchipped, & neutered. His adoption fee is sponsored.  Due to his breed and energy, we may require a home visit for any potential adopters. Meet Honcho! Age: 3 Weight: 80lbs Honcho is the insecure - and somehow also over-confident - guy who sits next to you at a dinner party and can't stop talking about himself. He starts off slow to warm up and even a little nervous of new folks, but once he knows you're interested in him, be prepared for long, intense conversations about everything from what kind of treats he prefers to which bushes are his favorite to use on potty breaks. Honcho also has strong opinions on how other dogs should behave around him. He does well with dogs who give him space and who understand he's just not that interested in playing. Even if you don't want to know, he will share his point of view on cats; he is not a fan (which means cats probably aren't a fan of him either!). If you like an energetic dog who has a lot to say, please come meet Honcho. He'd love to tell you all the ways he'd make a great rescue dog, and we'd love to get rescued so we can work the room and talk to some of the other shelter guests!

Meet Bishop! Age: 7 Weight: 94lbs At seven years old and with a handsomely graying muzzle, Bishop is ready to live the good life in retirement. He knows sit, stay, down, shake, and come - but he's not always interested in using all those smarts. What Bishop wants more than anything is to sit next to you or lay at your feet. His satellite dish ears will pivot to listen and let you know he's paying attention, but the rest of him will relax into you. Bishop walks at a comfortable, easy pace, and he doesn't get too excited about anything he sees or hears. His ideal home would be one without small children; a mature home for a mature dude! During car trips, he lays calmly and quietly in the back seat. Bishop has done well with other dogs during his stay here, but we are unsure about his response to cats. If you want a gentle, mature dog, Bishop is happy to be your quiet and loyal companion. Active Axel is a handsome golden male German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees mix who was born on February 11th, 2023 and is still a puppy in every way. He is one of six siblings that survived from a litter of 12. Our guy Axel weighs approximately 90 lbs, and is very GSD smart loving to be next to his humans.  This huge puppy is full of energy and he will fit perfectly in a home where there is a lot of activity, a fenced yard and people who love the BIG DOGS! He really likes walking, hiking, and just a ton of fun with activity. He also loves water and treats the water trough as his own personal spa.
