Story
Chewy is just over a year and 75 lbs. He is smart and playful. When doing training he was able to pick up on tricks with minimal practice. He is a great snuggler and will be protective of his person. He is fully house trained and crate trained. Chewy loves to play and is always excited to go outside and just run. He love all treats and toys. We did a dna test on him that came back 55% GSD. He is a giant fluff ball and has the softest coat. We have a seven year old and a 4 year old and Chewy does great with both of them. We also have a cat and he is interested in her but doesn’t show any aggression. We have had to block his access to the litter box though. Chewy is up to date on his shots, neutered, and heart worm free.

Story
Hi people of San Antonio! My name is Ralf aka Ralfy aka Ralfy Palfy. My fosters gave me the last nickname because they say I will make someone a great Pal. You see, I was found on the side of the road barely alive after being hit by a car. I couldn't walk very well because my pelvis was broken in three places. But after visiting this place called the veterinarian, I started feeling much better. Unfortunately before my accident I had never met kind humans and still to this day, I'm very easily startled and scared of new people. It's going to take someone very special and patient to earn my trust. But once you earn it, I'm the sweetest and most gentle dog ever. I love love love chest rubs and ear scratches. But my number one love of all time is treats!!! I love all flavors so if you decide to take me home, don't be shy when shopping for me! I enjoy sunbathing and relaxing in my kennel. It's my safe place when I feel overwhelmed. I promise to love you if you promise to take the time to get to know me. I will do best in a quiet house with maybe 1 or 2 adults and an older mature doggy friend. I don't care much for traveling and prefer to be a homebody. I do love to play with doggy friends and don't mind cats either. I'm currently working on becoming more confident in public spaces. What do you say? Can you give me a shot? Ralf is kennel trained and potty trained. He is a local adoption only. His current foster is a trainer who is willing to offer two free sessions along with his adoption to set you both up for success and better help you understand what he will need and how you can help provide that for him. He is a Shepherd mix that weighs roughly 50lbs. Local adoption only $200 (in TX)

Story
Sweet Calista came to us with her little family of siblings. Caught roaming the streets we were able to capture them all and get them safe from starvation. Calista is a shy girl. She is going to require someone who has patience and understanding. In a matter or a minute her world was flipped upside down going from having to hunt and scavenge for food to a kennel and food and a bed. It was a lot for a little puppy to take in that had been on her own for so long. She is slowly opening up to her foster mom and every now and then will let her get on her level and come over for some pets/ licks of the hand. Treats and smelling like hot dogs/ peanut butter helps! Calista loves other dogs and gets along great with her foster homes pack. She is playful and energetic with them. Sometimes maybe too energetic as she can be an escape artist and find even the smallest of holes in the fence to see if she can fit and make a b-line to the neighbors house! Calista will need to stay local to Texas for the time being. Each day she is gaining confidence and understanding and realizing that people are not all mean and that there ares some out there that really do love dogs and want nothing but goodness for them. If you think you are ready to give Calista love, attention and help her build trust and confidence in herself and you then please apply! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX only)

Story
Poor Bella was seen being dumped by her owner on a commercial street where big rigs constantly are passing through. It took a few days for us to build her trust to bring her to safety in our yard. Full of ticks and fleas we were able to clean her and give her love and attention which by the looks of it she never had love since she had the collar marks embedded into her fur where she had been tied up :( Bella loves toys and gets the zoomies when excited. She loves to run so preferably go to someone with a big yard or an active person. She is always high alert so she is always taking care of the house. She is very loyal to her person and shows how grateful she is to her foster family. She has her own personality and just wants love attention and she is ready to be spoiled by her forever family. * she will need a 6 foot fence * she does get along with dogs but gets jealous about her person *no cats *loves to Play in kiddie pool *walks on leash ok but still learning not to pull Bella Marie deserves a real home and will be your most loyal buddy ever!!! Love me back and that is a recipe for an AMAZING LIFE!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Good with dogs,
Story
In a forgotten corner of town, amidst the heaps of discarded metal and forgotten treasures, there lived a German Shepherd named Hope. She was a resilient and loving soul, her bright eyes shining like beacons in the midst of the junkyard's darkness. Hope's story was one of survival and strength. Last year, she had found herself pregnant and alone, seeking shelter among the rusting cars and towering piles of scrap. It was within this unlikely sanctuary that she gave birth to a litter of precious pups. She cared for them with unwavering devotion, protecting them from the harsh elements and scavengers that roamed the junkyard. As her puppies grew, Hope's love and care never wavered. She watched them take their first tentative steps, playfully tumbling over each other amidst the debris. She nurtured them with scraps of food she found and kept them warm on cold nights by curling up with them under the stars. Hope's determination to provide for her pups was unwavering. She ventured out of the junkyard in search of help, her gentle nature winning over the hearts of those she encountered. She managed to find kind-hearted individuals who not only fed her but also provided her with a safe haven for her growing family. Slowly but surely, Hope's pups found loving homes, leaving her heart both full and heavy. But Hope's story was far from over. Her resilience and boundless love had left an indelible mark on those who had crossed her path. Word of Hope's story spread throughout the town, and it wasn't long before a compassionate family decided to give her a forever home. Hope was no longer confined to the junkyard; instead, she now had a cozy bed, regular meals, and a loving family who cherished her. Hope's transformation was remarkable. The once wary and protective dog blossomed into a beacon of love and happiness. Hope's days in the junkyard were a distant memory, replaced by a life filled with love and care. She proved that no matter where life had taken her, she could find hope and happiness, and that her heart was big enough to fit into any family that welcomed her. And so, Hope, the resilient German Shepherd, became a testament to the power of love, showing that even in the most unlikely of places, the seeds of hope can grow and thrive, bringing joy to everyone she met. Hope is STILL looking for the family who will CHERISH her adorable and heart winning personality! MAYBE YOU are her FAMILY!!! ADOPT....DON"T SHOP!!! CAUSE RESCUES' ROCK!!!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 Temporary Fuel fee will apply)
