Tanner is a super sweet girl. She is wonderful with small children and our one cat. Unfortunately with my son moving for work, keeping her is not an option with my work schedule. We rescued her from a neglect case in the hopes of keeping her forever but now that wont be possible. The silver lining is that her time in foster with us has saved her life from the outcome of her siblings. She will now live a long, happy, and healthy life. We did do a full genetic and health screening on her through embark and will be happy to email full results. Feel free to ask any questions.

Story
IDGSR Welcomes NOVA into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Hiya Friends! My name is Nova and I'm a sweet 4-6yr old female Shepherd/Malinois mix gal. I am located near Nashville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts: Age - 4-6yrs old Kids - will do fine with older kids (10+) Dogs - good with large male dogs Cats - NO cats Training - needs standard obedience training 1. My story is pretty sad. I was chained to a tree with no interaction, used for breeding. I had my last litter of puppies (all have been adopted) and now it's my turn! 2. My foster mom estimates my age to be about 4-6yrs old. We aren't quite sure but because of my hard upbringing, I have a little more gray on my face. 3. I enjoy taking walks, exploring in the backyard, playing with other large breed dogs, and resting with my foster mom. 4. I would love to find a person/family who will take me on walks, tell me I'm the bestest girl in the world, and show me what a loving family really is. 5. I could benefit from obedience training. I'm a cross between two very intelligent breeds so I'll catch on super quick. Also, training will help us bond! 6. If you are looking for a resilient, loving, friendly, sweet, and loyal new companion - I'm your girl! **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY! Story
IDGSR Welcomes BEN into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Howdy! My name is Ben, aka Big Ben, and I'm a handsome 5-6yr old male German Shepherd. I am located near Greeneville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts: Age - 5-6yr old Kids - adult home preferred Dogs - fine with large female dogs or as an only dog Cats - NO cats Training - could use an obedience refresher 1. I've been in the rescue the longest out of all the dogs. I'm not sure why I keep getting looked over. I'm handsome, athletic, and a fantastic example of what the German Shepherd breed is all about. 2. I am fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, and ready to go to my forever home! 3. For a middle aged guy, I'm pretty active. I enjoy romping around the yard, sniffing all the things, and exploring. I'd love to go on walks, runs, or would be content to chill with you. 4. I would do best with someone who has prior German Shepherd experience. I'm a BIG boy, like pushing 100+ pounds. I'm healthy as a horse and have a lot of strength so my adopter needs to make sure that I know he/she is the boss. 5. I'm obsessed with my food bowl. I'll drag it around, spin it around, toss it and catch it. It's a weird obsession, I know, but hey at least I'm self entertained! 6. If you are looking for a BIG handsome, friendly, resilient, athletic, and overall lovely new companion - I'm your guy! **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY! If you are not 100% ready to adopt, please wait** ************** ***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION*** -ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted -We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply -All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered -Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter -An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog -Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications -All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time -Not able to adopt? Story
IDGSR Welcomes HARLEY into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Meet Harley: The Underdog Queen We Can’t Help but Love Listen… we know. Harley is not going to win “Miss German Shepherd USA.” Bless her heart, she looks like someone took a hound dog head, stuck it on a German Shepherd body, shook it, and said “Yep, good enough.” But what Harley lacks in traditional beauty, she makes up for in soul, sweetness, and the kind of charm that grows on you faster than you expect. Harley is a 6–7 year old German Shepherd–ish mix who has been patiently waiting for her person… and waiting… and waiting. She’s starting to suspect she showed up to the wrong audition. We promised we’d help her out. Here’s what you get when you adopt Harley: 1. A friend to all dogs – she’s the type who shows up at the dog park and instantly makes a friend group. 2. Friendly and gentle – she genuinely loves people, even if she gives them a “don’t judge my face, please” look first. 3. Talented performer – she will sit up pretty (and trust us, it’s adorable) for treats, snacks, and as many ear scratches as you’re willing to hand out. 4. A certified sweetheart – she just wants someone to love her, quirks, mismatched parts, and all. Harley may not be a supermodel, but she’s the dog version of that coworker who isn’t a looker but is everyone’s absolute favorite person. She’s loyal, hilarious without trying, and has a heart ten times bigger than her head (and her head is… substantial). If you’ve ever rooted for the underdog—or if you just want a companion who will love you unconditionally and make you laugh every day—Harley is your girl. Give this uniquely-built, tragically-cute sweetheart the chance she’s been waiting way too long for. **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY!
