Hello, This is really hard for me to write, but I’m looking for a loving and experienced new home for my dog. He’s a German Shepherd/Husky mix, and in a couple of months I’ll be leaving for the military. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to take him with me, and my biggest priority is finding him the right, safe home. I want to be completely transparent: he has shown aggression toward new people in the past. He is very cautious and protective, and he does not warm up to strangers quickly. He needs slow introductions and someone who understands dog behavior and is experienced with larger, strong-willed breeds. That said, once he trusts you, he is incredibly sweet, loyal, and affectionate. He bonds very deeply with his person and is loving, playful, and devoted in the home. This is not an easy decision, and I’m committed to finding him the right fit not just any home.
