Story
This handsome boy has a rough past. If he could talk he would be sure to tell you his sad story of what his previous life entailed, however he prefers to look forward and not worry too much about the past. He is very cautious with new things and he has every right to be that way. He tends to find new men to be scary, and most new situations are scary. He loves to get treats and hugs. This guy is going to need a lot of reassurance from his new family. They will need to work on building his skills outside of the home. All he really knows is being locked in a crate. He does not seem to mind dogs that are smaller than him, however dogs that are larger than him are not an option for him. He walks very well on a leash, and enjoys spending time in his pool. He loves to do tricks for food. He would make a great companion if you are looking for a dog that just wants to hang out and let him be the guy that he is. If you are interested in meeting him, we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an application. Once you have an approved application no file we will then schedule a time for you to come and meet him. His adoption fee will be $300 that includes him being current on all his vaccinations, treated for fleas, treated for worms, and neutered. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgApril 26, 2024, 8:34 am

Story
Nova is an incredible 4 year old GSD. She loves to play frisbee all day and follow you around everywhere. She is great with our little one, and our Belgian Mali. We are crushed needing to rehome her but with another little one on the way and work schedules, we can't give her the active life she's used to.

Story
Leo is 6 years old and lives with his owner who lives in a small bedroom and is unable to roam around the house or yard. He is loved but doesn't have the room he needs to roam or attention he deserves. He loves his daily walks. Our dream for Leo would be to live in a house with a family and have a yard. He does have a pitbull mix but that wasn’t listed as an option on the breeds available. Leo is a reactive dog and tends to be territorial. He needs someone who has the time to train him and work with him. He doesn’t particularly love being around other dogs or people much but has so much room to learn to enjoy it! He just needs the right training. He is the sweetest most cuddliest dog on the inside!

Story
Age - almost 2 years old. Weight - 55 Pounds. Evie was rescued from being euthanized at the shelter. She was an owner surrender because she was brought in and the family expected their teen son to fully care for her and when he didn't, they dumped her. Really sweet girl just takes a second to warm up to new people. We believe she is a German Shepard mix about 2 years old. She has been to board and train and knows all her basic commands and she is fully crate trained. She is super on point with her training and listens extremely well. We believe she would be a good canidate for any families that wish to further her training into more advanced thing such as scent work, agility, even police dog work we think she would do great! Evie is one of those dogs where as long as she has her tennis ball she is all good to go! She will chase her ball for hours and hours. She is dog friendly but she just might thrive best in a home with no other dogs so she can really shine and get the attention she thrives! Evie has been in the care of the Rescue for over a year and has only had 2 short foster offers of only a week and otherwise has been fully in our care the last year. She has been through a month of board and train as well and comes with 2 free training lessons with her trainer. If interested in adopting Evie, kindly fill out the application found here: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptionsApril 25, 2024, 10:14 pm
