Story

We are looking to rehome our sweet male German Shepherd/Lab mix puppy. He was born March 13 and is almost 6 months old. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations. He is a very smart, loving, high-energy puppy who does well with other dogs and cats. He already knows how to sit, lay down, and fetch, and he loves to play and be around people. He is not a huge barker. He is still working on being fully house-trained, so his new family will need to continue working with him on that. We are making the difficult decision to rehome him because he was originally meant to be my daughter’s responsibility, and unfortunately, she is not ready for that responsibility. I do not have the time needed to give a young, energetic puppy the attention and training he deserves. I would rather find him a loving, committed home now while he is still young and can easily adjust, bond with his new family, and continue his training.

Mira is 5 years old and grew up helping to take care of a young man with severe autism and is very alert and compassionate. Her first sister was a 3 legged Chihuahua and she loves small dogs in addition to loving all dogs. She also lived with a small Terrier, a Mini Poodle, a Cat and a Bird. . Mira loves people and is sweet and caring. We had to move into a smaller place with no yard and it's not fair to her. She needs a backyard. Mira goes to the bathroom outside and holds it until she can go in the right place. She can be inside or outside and is crate trained. She is a faithful friend and we will miss her.

Peggy is so special! She was the first born and the runt. She was born without a back left paw- her leg stops off at her ankle. She gets around good but her hips aren’t quite even. She does stay off of it mostly still- It’s not fully healed yet, and she’s had a couple setbacks. She is getting closer though! Her ‘peg foot’ is healing to fresh skin, with no fur. She is spirited! She’s had a tough start! But she is so sweet! She’s been bottle fed since 3 days old, and penned on her own since a week old. Since about week 3 she began to ween off milk. She’s been used to being held, given special attention, and coddled quite a bit (to be honest). She can whine a bit, but is getting better with intentional “shush”es. Peggy is a great lapdog, and also plays a mean game of tug-o-war. She’s a great dog! Plays great with dogs, cats, and kids. Everyone just loves her! She deserves more time, energy, and medical care than I can provide.

Peggy was the first born and the runt in her litter. She is 9 1/2 weeks old, July 14th birthday. She weighs about 15 pounds now. German Shepherd Husky mom is 75 lbs at 2, Labradoodle Boxer dad is 65 lbs at 1 1/2. She has been dewormed, but other than that is still a fresh puppy. She was born without a back left paw, and has been on a healing journey her whole life. Her peg foot was raw at birth and has been healing skin with no fur. She has been bottle fed and separate from the litter from less than a week. Her foot wasn't healing very well as she fought for milk. She doesn't let her peg foot slow her down, though! She is still careful on it, but it isn't completely healed yet, still. She is a playful and spirited puppy! And she is so sweet. Peggy has been held and coddled, and loves a lap nap. She is great with other dogs of all sizes, cats, and kids! Peggy deserves more time and effort! She is such a love, but also plays a mean game of tug-o-war! And has the softest ears!
