Welcome Oaks to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Oaks is a 1.5 year old German Short haired pointer and German Shepherd. He is about 48 pounds and a good weight. He is good in a car, potty trained, doggy door trained and lives with six children starting at age 2. He also lives with 6 other dogs and does fine. He would be great with a family and children would be fine. We like them to be 8 or older. He is smart, laid back, good with other dogs and bonds deeply to his family. He is a little timid with strangers but comfortable with his people. His foster family is going to start taking him places so he can get used to changes in environment and other people. He is smart but he doesn’t like to retrieve like his sister does. He is a nice dog and naturally a little protective to his family. He would be great with a family that the dad travels and he wants to feel that his family is safe and taken care of. He is a moderate shedding dog and with his long legs would be a great walking or jogging companion. He is neutered, healthy and getting his vaccinations and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Tank is a 9 month old German shorthaired pointer. He a sweet, intelligent, affectionate, high energy dog. Loves to go on car trips and play catch. His owner passed away suddenly. We are looking for a loving new home for Tank. Someone/Family that can handle the energy of this breed to go for walks, play with him, and keep him safe. Tank is a Velcro dog and needs a owner that likes having a dog that loves attention and wants to be by owners side.

Hazel is a sweet, loving 5-year-old rescue who has been an incredible part of our family for the past four years. She was adopted from a shelter at about 6 months old and has grown up alongside our four children, making her extremely patient, gentle, and family-friendly. Hazel loves the dog park, playing in the backyard with kids, and relaxing on the couch. She’s wonderfully versatile—happy to play hard or lounge quietly. She is healthy, well-mannered, does not bark in the house (naturally- not trained that way), and happily welcomes everyone she meets (including mail carriers!), so she’s all love and not a guard dog. Her only small weakness is her love for people food. Otherwise, Hazel is truly a wonderful companion. We are heartbroken to explore adoption due to worsening dog dander allergies despite medical treatment, and we are committed to finding Hazel a loving home where she will continue to be cherished.

Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. He is confident, affectionate, wildly playful, toy obsessed, people loving, dog loving, and at the sweet age where he is under the assumption that personal boundaries are more of a suggestion than a rule. Jesse throws his whole heart, and occasionally his whole body, into having fun and sharing love. Underneath that enthusiasm is a smart, treat-motivated boy with a great settle. Jesse LOVES to play. He is very dog friendly and confidently meets new dogs, quickly moving from introductions to the much more important business of PLAY! His style is rough, tumble, physical and enthusiastic, complete with some vocal commentary. He shares toys well, happily shares attention from his people, and genuinely enjoys having canine friends around. Jesse would love another playful dog who enjoys a physical playstyle but is also confident enough to set boundaries with him. He needs a buddy who can participate in the fun while occasionally informing Jesse that even recess has rules. Jesse's fun-time mentality is best suited for larger small dogs, 25 lbs + and a cat-free home. People, however, are Jesse’s jam. He is confident and loving with new people, happily accepts all the belly rubs and will roll right onto his back the moment he meets you! He is also extremely treat motivated and already knows how to sit, which gives his future family a fantastic starting point for training. Jesse is energetic, but he absolutely knows how to relax. In fact, one of the nicest things about him is that when you actually ask him to slow down, he does. Give him clear expectations, reward the behavior you want, and his busy body and brain happily relax, ready and willing to work with you. That structure will be important for Jesse given he is still growing and learning. Jesse will thrive with someone who is looking forward to training and is comfortable consistently teaching a smart young dog how to continue growing into a well-rounded and well-mannered adult.
