Story
Darci is a cute little girl looking for her forever home. She is 34 lbs and approx 18 months old. She loves to run and stretch her long legs. She is working on walking on a leash and is learning quickly. She is a very smart girl. Darci gets along well with other dogs. She would make a great addition to any family. Taking her on walks, jogs, or hikes would be right up her alley. We are working with her on crate training and housetraining. She is catching on quickly. She is such a pretty little girl who is the perfect size companion. Darci is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final before your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged for dogs that are adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! Story
Meet Jasmine! 🌼 Jasmine is a 1-year-old, big, sweet, and goofy girl who is looking for her forever home. We’ve had her since she was about 7–8 months old, after she was heartbreakingly dumped and literally starving. She has come such a long way and is now a happy, healthy, playful dog. 🐶 Personality Very high energy and playful, LOVES other dogs and does great with them. Great with kids, though she is a big girl and may jump up when excited, Super smart and a quick learner Loves toys and playtime, she’s a very silly girl. Currently learning leash manners—she needs a minute to calm down but then walks well 🏡 Ideal Home Jasmine would thrive in an active home that can give her plenty of exercise, playtime, and continued training. She would do great with another dog and with a family who enjoys a big, loving, goofy companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, affectionate dog who will keep you smiling, Jasmine might be your perfect match! 💛🐾 Jasmine is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Story
Welcome Oaks to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Oaks is a 1.5 year old German Short haired pointer and German Shepherd. He is about 48 pounds and a good weight. He is good in a car, potty trained, doggy door trained and lives with six children starting at age 2. He also lives with 6 other dogs and does fine. He would be great with a family and children would be fine. We like them to be 8 or older. He is smart, laid back, good with other dogs and bonds deeply to his family. He is a little timid with strangers but comfortable with his people. His foster family is going to start taking him places so he can get used to changes in environment and other people. He is smart but he doesn’t like to retrieve like his sister does. He is a nice dog and naturally a little protective to his family. He would be great with a family that the dad travels and he wants to feel that his family is safe and taken care of. He is a moderate shedding dog and with his long legs would be a great walking or jogging companion. He is neutered, healthy and getting his vaccinations and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. She will come current on her vaccines, spayed, microchipped and is on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. **This is an Out Of Town listing. Story
Stop scrolling… because Scarlet Mae is the kind of dog people don’t forget. From the moment you meet her, she has this way of making you feel like you’ve known her forever. Maybe it’s those adorable floppy doppie ears that bounce with every step, or the way she looks at you like you’re already her favorite person. Whatever it is, it works! Because Scarlet wins people over almost instantly. She’s affectionate, attentive, and completely people-oriented in the best way. The kind of dog who doesn’t just want to be near you, she wants to be with you. Whether she’s leaning in for hugs, soaking up pets, or gently asking for just a little more love, Scarlet has a way of turning even the simplest moments into something special. Watch her video and you'll fall in love with her: https://youtu.be/8oHuAjWX9_Q?si=tkwRq8s072a9_RWw Scarlet Mae is believed to be a Pointer/Lab mix approximately 4 years old and currently weighs 48 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue dog, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. One thing we do know is that this girl is so people oriented and attentive to you when you're with her, it’s probably one of our favorite things about Scarlet. All she wants to do is make you happy and put a smile on your face. If you watched her video, then you know exactly what we are talking about. Now just imagine what that feeling is like when she is actually with you! She is even good with kids, hanging out with a 12-year-old here at the rescue. She snuggled up next to him on the couch, asking for affection without being too pushy and was so content sitting next to him getting all the love and affection. We believe she would make a great family dog. Another thing we love about Scarlet is the way she will sit in your lap letting you give her the biggest full body hugs and when you stop… she’ll lean even closer to you. Almost like she's saying, “hey friend, just 5 more minutes please.” It’s very sweet. Scarlet is dog friendly and has done great with all of the dogs we have introduced her to. She loves to romp around in the yard with the other dogs, playing chase and exploring with her doggy friends. For the most part, Scarlet is either enjoying the sunshine and fresh air while the other pups around her are playing, off exploring, or getting loved on by her people. When Scarlet first meets a new doggy friend, she prefers slower introductions to get to know her new pal and will also give a subtle correction to a dog if she’s not up for play in that moment or if things are getting a little too rough. Like how an older sister would do with her little brother, a teaching moment. In a home, she will do best with a medium energy male that enjoys those relaxing moments together, will be up for a game of chase every now and then, and will also be mindful of her boundaries when she’s ready to relax. If you don’t have other dogs, that’s fine too! She does not need the company of another dog to help her feel comfortable and open up nor does she need another dog to fulfill her energy needs. She is a confident love bug all on her own and will be just as happy being the center of your attention. She also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. She did not chase Biggie, nor was she bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around her as well. We do not know if Scarlet has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing her with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for her to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Scarlet is also a smart girl and is a quick learner too. She already knows how to sit, is mastering her leash skills, and has shown us that she is crate trained and potty trained as well. She is very people oriented, eager to please, and loves a good tasty treat. All the fundamentals that make any additional training you want to do with her that much more enjoyable for you both. She really impressed us with how quickly she responded to every command we gave her. Scarlet has the type of energy that is perfectly in the middle. Not too high and not too low. She can match whatever energy you need her to. Want to snuggle all day? Sign Scarlet up. Want to take a walk around the neighborhood or go exploring the trails? Scarlet is already at the door with her leash on. She would also thrive in a home with a backyard where she can stretch her legs, soak in the sun, and porch sit with you during those nice summer evenings. We are willing to test Scarlet Mae with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
