APPLY FOR BUTTERBEAN Meet Butterbean, or as we like to call her, Butter or Bean! This sweet girl is a medium-sized cutie, weighing in at about 40 lbs. At just 10 months old, Bean is a Pointer mix who is fully vetted and microchipped.   Bean has a heart of gold and hasn’t met a person or animal she doesn’t want to snuggle with! She’s all about fun and playtime but knows just the right moment to settle down and curl up on your lap for a cozy nap. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids too.   Bean is housebroken and knows some basic commands like sit, drop, and even leave it. While she doesn’t spend too much time on a leash, she’s done well when she’s had to be on it. This gentle girl is eager to continue learning!   Bean would absolutely love a forever family where she can run, play, and just have a great time, especially if there’s another furry friend or kiddo in the house to join in on the fun!   ADOPTION FEE: $663  ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:  Alteration, Microchip, Vaccines APPLICATION: Click here to apply IF YOU HAVE OWNED A PET IN THE LAST 10 YEARS, PLEASE CALL YOUR VET AHEAD OF TIME TO ALLOW RESCUES TO SPEAK TO THEM APPLY FOR BUTTERBEAN ##2619243##

Story
Meet Jasmine! 🌼 Jasmine is a 1-year-old, big, sweet, and goofy girl who is looking for her forever home. We’ve had her since she was about 7–8 months old, after she was heartbreakingly dumped and literally starving. She has come such a long way and is now a happy, healthy, playful dog. 🐶 Personality Very high energy and playful, LOVES other dogs and does great with them. Great with kids, though she is a big girl and may jump up when excited, Super smart and a quick learner Loves toys and playtime, she’s a very silly girl. Currently learning leash manners—she needs a minute to calm down but then walks well 🏡 Ideal Home Jasmine would thrive in an active home that can give her plenty of exercise, playtime, and continued training. She would do great with another dog and with a family who enjoys a big, loving, goofy companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, affectionate dog who will keep you smiling, Jasmine might be your perfect match! 💛🐾 Jasmine is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Story
Welcome Oaks to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Oaks is a 1.5 year old German Short haired pointer and German Shepherd. He is about 48 pounds and a good weight. He is good in a car, potty trained, doggy door trained and lives with six children starting at age 2. He also lives with 6 other dogs and does fine. He would be great with a family and children would be fine. We like them to be 8 or older. He is smart, laid back, good with other dogs and bonds deeply to his family. He is a little timid with strangers but comfortable with his people. His foster family is going to start taking him places so he can get used to changes in environment and other people. He is smart but he doesn’t like to retrieve like his sister does. He is a nice dog and naturally a little protective to his family. He would be great with a family that the dad travels and he wants to feel that his family is safe and taken care of. He is a moderate shedding dog and with his long legs would be a great walking or jogging companion. He is neutered, healthy and getting his vaccinations and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.November 26, 2025, 12:43 am

Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.

Story
Fiona needs a new foster or foster-to-adopt home. About three years old, Fiona came from a large hoarding situation. She is a shy, gentle girl who needs TLC and time to get comfortable in a home. Fiona loves other dogs and we would like to see her in a home with at least one other dog. The activity level of small children would scare her, so an adult home or one with older children would be ideal. She needs a home with a securely fenced yard, and a family who has experience and patience. To foster or foster-to-adopt Fiona please fill out our application - https://www.furryfriendsct.org/foster-application NOTE: Foster or foster-to-adopt families must be located within the state of Connecticut.

Story
Lyla just loves playing with other dogs She's shy with new people and takes a little time to realize you're just a new friend she hasn't met yet - but a few treats and some time and she'll figure it out! She'd love a home with a securely fenced yard (she hasn't figured out leashes yet) and a dog friend or two - and would be happy to live with teenaged children. This sweet girl came from a large hoarding situation and she has come so far! These days she's a happy girl - and is ready and waiting to find her forever home. If that home could be yours, please fill out an application - https://www.furryfriendsct.org/adoption-application
