Story
Birthdate: 1/10/2016Breed: One of a kindRemi is a good boy with everyone he meets! He especially loves to go out for his walks and spend time with his favorite volunteers. You will often find Remi in a play yard romping and hopping with his little tail wagging. Remi would do best in a home with an experienced owner, someone that can give him a loving routine and some exercise! If you are that person, you truly will have the best of friends in Remi. *Remi would love to get to know you better! Our behavior specialist can help you get to know him better with three training sessions! Email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information!*Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/36924/generic. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.November 26, 2025, 12:43 am

Story
Millie is a great dog she is 7 years old and has lived with us since we purchased her from litter. This past year she was diagnosed with laryngeal paralysis. Sounds scary but she still loves to fetch actually it’s an obsession fetching. She will always have a ball in her mouth. The biggest symptom of her lar par is vomiting. Other than that she is fine. She has a jug as a sister that she gets along with that’s really the only other dog she has been with since birth. She is pure bred without papers and is a pretty female. My wife and I just had a baby and Millie needs time that we can’t give her. She also needs room to run large backyard. She is not a trained bird hunter but displays an excellent point when she sees anything in the yard. We are looking for someone who can give her the time she needs. She sleeps in her bed but loves sleeping and cuddling mostly on top of us lol

Story
Darci is a cute little girl looking for her forever home. She is 34 lbs and approx 18 months old. She loves to run and stretch her long legs. She is working on walking on a leash and is learning quickly. She is a very smart girl. Darci gets along well with other dogs. She would make a great addition to any family. Taking her on walks, jogs, or hikes would be right up her alley. We are working with her on crate training and housetraining. She is catching on quickly. She is such a pretty little girl who is the perfect size companion. Darci is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final before your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged for dogs that are adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Speckle — the girl with the cutest little blue-speckled paws you’ve ever seen! 💙 This 4-month-old Pointer/Lab mix traveled to us from Louisiana and brought her sweet southern charm right along with her. She gets her name from those adorable speckles on her paws, but trust us… her personality is just as special. Speckle is friendly, loving, and always happy to make a new friend. She’s got that perfect puppy mix of playful energy and snuggly sweetness. Whether she’s bouncing around with a toy or leaning in for affection, she’s all about being part of the fun. With her Lab smarts and Pointer curiosity, she’s going to grow into such a wonderful, loyal companion for a lucky family. If Speckle sounds like your kind of girl, head to happylifeanimalrescue.org and register for adoption. That’s the first step to meeting her and potentially bringing those precious speckled paws home with you. Don’t wait — this sweet spotted beauty is ready to leave paw prints all over someone’s heart! 🐾💕

Story
MEET ME IN MIDDLETOWN, CT! I JUST MOVED HERE! Howdy folks. My name is Tina, and I am a pretty and petite German Shorthaired Pointer/Shar-Pei mix, about 2 years old, and I weigh just 32 lbs. I was brought into the City of San Antonio “Kill” shelter as possibly being hit by a car, but just had a few scrapes, and nothing was broken, thank goodness! I was having a problem with my right eye squinting, which the shelter couldn't figure out, and another local vet thought my eyelid might be curling in, but when I came up positive for a tick disease, easily treated with 30 days of Doxycycline, my eye cleared up, and it turns out it was one of the symptoms. These days, I am happy and healthy, no longer squinting, and I’m ready to find a forever home! I am a very sweet and easygoing girl, and I make friends easily with everyone I meet. I’m talkin’ kids, dogs, cats, strangers, men, women, I’m lovely. I am playful and lovable and have never barked once at my foster home. I am well-behaved, already housebroken, walk well on a leash, and will sit nicely in the passenger seat or back seat on a car ride. I’m not really into dog toys, but I’m into pleasing my people, and just so you know, I’m a very sound sleeper! I just moved to Middletown, Connecticut, so you can come by to meet me. Just be prepared to fall in love and take me home! Another YouTube video of Tina: https://youtube.com/shorts/VxKkgFBmkFU * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Story
Meet Jasmine! 🌼 Jasmine is a 1-year-old, big, sweet, and goofy girl who is looking for her forever home. We’ve had her since she was about 7–8 months old, after she was heartbreakingly dumped and literally starving. She has come such a long way and is now a happy, healthy, playful dog. 🐶 Personality Very high energy and playful, LOVES other dogs and does great with them. Great with kids, though she is a big girl and may jump up when excited, Super smart and a quick learner Loves toys and playtime, she’s a very silly girl. Currently learning leash manners—she needs a minute to calm down but then walks well 🏡 Ideal Home Jasmine would thrive in an active home that can give her plenty of exercise, playtime, and continued training. She would do great with another dog and with a family who enjoys a big, loving, goofy companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, affectionate dog who will keep you smiling, Jasmine might be your perfect match! 💛🐾 Jasmine is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Sweet 5m old 38lbs sisters Kara from Arkansas.  She came in with her Kora They can be adopted together or separately.   All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.
