Story
Birthdate: 1/10/2016Breed: One of a kindRemi is a good boy with everyone he meets! He especially loves to go out for his walks and spend time with his favorite volunteers. You will often find Remi in a play yard romping and hopping with his little tail wagging. Remi would do best in a home with an experienced owner, someone that can give him a loving routine and some exercise! If you are that person, you truly will have the best of friends in Remi. *Remi would love to get to know you better! Our behavior specialist can help you get to know him better with three training sessions! Email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information!*Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/36924/generic. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.November 26, 2025, 12:43 am

Story
Lottie is a smart, good-natured dog. She is always happy to meet new people, go on walks and car rides; she even loves the vet! Lottie spends much of her day relaxing in the sun or other favorite spots. She is a quiet dog but will bark when delivery folks come to the door or the landscapers are working (particularly the leaf blower). She is good with bigger kids, but her size and goofy enthusiasm may be an issue with smaller kids/toddlers. Lottie doesnt like loud noises and gets a bit anxious during Fourth of July or strong thunderstorms. She likes to go to her safe space (bathroom) and wait it out. Shes a great dog!

Story
Otis is a beautiful, sweet, healthy 6-year old German Shorthaired Pointer. He is a purebread and has papers from the American Kennel Association. We have owned Otis since he was 5 months old. Otis is affectionate, loves kids, and is a great watchdog with a fantastic howl. He loves to be walked and to run in wide open spaces. GSPs are hunting dogs and Otis loves to chase down rabbits, chipmonks and the like. While Otis is a wonderful dog, he has some behavioral challenges. He does not do well with other dogs including our own, 2 years older. We think as an "only child" he would thrive. The best owner for Otis should be okay with not going to dog parks and keeping him on-leash. This person should be experienced with big dogs, prepared to have a strong hand, and looking for a loving and loyal companion. We are incredibly sad give Otis up, but think it is what's best for him. We are hoping Otis is adopted by a loving family who will make him feel as special as he deserves.

Story
Welcome Oaks to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Oaks is a 1.5 year old German Short haired pointer and German Shepherd. He is about 48 pounds and a good weight. He is good in a car, potty trained, doggy door trained and lives with six children starting at age 2. He also lives with 6 other dogs and does fine. He would be great with a family and children would be fine. We like them to be 8 or older. He is smart, laid back, good with other dogs and bonds deeply to his family. He is a little timid with strangers but comfortable with his people. His foster family is going to start taking him places so he can get used to changes in environment and other people. He is smart but he doesn’t like to retrieve like his sister does. He is a nice dog and naturally a little protective to his family. He would be great with a family that the dad travels and he wants to feel that his family is safe and taken care of. He is a moderate shedding dog and with his long legs would be a great walking or jogging companion. He is neutered, healthy and getting his vaccinations and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.
