These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. Animal Profile: Marley is a 4-year-old, 60 lb neutered male mixed breed (DNA test showed German Shorthaired Pointer, Lab, Pitbull). He came to us as a puppy and was adopted but returned several years later due to anxiety around the young toddler in the home. Marley is friendly with other dogs but he has exhibited prey drive with the cats in his foster home, so we will not be considering homes with cats. He is discerning with new people but not reactive and is a loyal companion to his people.. He is nervous with small children who don't respect his space. He is house trained, crate trained, and has good basic obedience training. We will share more as we get to know him in foster care. I have a heart as big as Texas and truly love everyone I meet. I was found roaming a neighborhood with a few other dogs, with no owner in sight. Thankfully, a kind person stopped to help me, and now I’m safe and ready to find my forever home. I’m so grateful for my second chance! I’m a well-mannered boy, both house trained and crate trained. I have never chewed on anything I was not suppose to, but I have plenty of toys in my foster home.
