Pip is a beautiful, loving and fun-loving dog. She has tons of energy to play, and she always wants to be close to her humans. I've had Pip since she was only 6 weeks old. Sadly, I am looking for a new family for her now due to a change in my work, and need for me to travel more. Pip has been my dream dog: amazingly intelligent, eager to work, eager to please, always happy to play and very loving to people and kids. She's great at fetch and frisbee. She is bicycle trained, and she loves to run. An ideal new home for Pip is a family where there are multiple people who can interact with her, because she does thrive on being near humans and having regular interactions with people. Pip enjoys snuggling with her humans, but she's not the kind of dog to sleep all day - she definitely wants to play, to fetch, to tug, and to walk and explore with her humans. In terms of breed, she *looks* very much like a chocolate lab but acts like a Pointer (GSP), including the classic 'point' gesture.

Welcome Oaks to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Oaks is a 1.5 year old German Short haired pointer and German Shepherd. He is about 48 pounds and a good weight. He is good in a car, potty trained, doggy door trained and lives with six children starting at age 2. He also lives with 6 other dogs and does fine. He would be great with a family and children would be fine. We like them to be 8 or older. He is smart, laid back, good with other dogs and bonds deeply to his family. He is a little timid with strangers but comfortable with his people. His foster family is going to start taking him places so he can get used to changes in environment and other people. He is smart but he doesn’t like to retrieve like his sister does. He is a nice dog and naturally a little protective to his family. He would be great with a family that the dad travels and he wants to feel that his family is safe and taken care of. He is a moderate shedding dog and with his long legs would be a great walking or jogging companion. He is neutered, healthy and getting his vaccinations and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Animal Profile: Marley is a 4-year-old, 60 lb neutered male mixed breed (DNA test showed German Shorthaired Pointer, Lab, Pitbull). He came to us as a puppy and was adopted but returned several years later due to anxiety around the young toddler in the home. Marley is friendly with other dogs, has lived without issues with cats, and is a loyal companion to his people. He is discerning with new people but not reactive. He is nervous with small children who don't respect his space. He is house trained, crate trained, and has good basic obedience training. Animal Profile: Kiko is a 3 year old neutered male mixed breed, best guess GSP mix, that joined us from Hawaii on 10/17/25. Kiko weighs about 55 lbs, has a good amount of energy, and does really well with other dogs and children. He is also very food motivated which will help with training. We will share more about Kiko once he settles into his foster home. Foster Update: Kiko is a friendly, playful, and affectionate boy who’s settling into foster care beautifully. He greets new people with a quick sniff and a wag, and he’s very curious about other dogs on walks. Kiko has plenty of energy and loves to stay active! He enjoys walks, fetch, frisbee, and tug, and would be happiest in a home with room to run or a dog buddy to play with. After playtime, he’s all cuddles — he’s crate-trained but also loves curling up with his people and sleeping in bed. He’s mostly quiet, only barking briefly when someone’s at the door, and he’s learning his commands (sit, down, shake, and sometimes come!). Kiko is smart, sweet, and ready to find a home that matches his fun-loving spirit and big heart. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent visit with a veterinarian. While some dogs thrive in their independent, free-roaming lifestyle, Bexley craved human connection from the moment we met her. She was shy at first, but one gentle pet and she completely lit up, all love, loyalty, and pure gratitude. Today she’s the joyful, goofy little ray of sunshine she was always meant to be. If we had to describe her in a few words, she would be a gentle lover. She is calm, caring, and happiest when she’s close to her people. She has a graceful strength, a smile that makes your heart smile, and she always chooses love. Bexley warms up to new humans instantly and will happily snuggle into any friendly lap. She’s more of a “people dog” than a “dog's dog,” but she can live with a calm, easygoing canine sibling. With unfamiliar dogs, she can be a little unsure, but with positive experience, her confidence continues to grow. Despite her athletic build, she’s surprisingly low-key! She enjoys adventures but is just as content lounging in a camp chair. As she gains confidence and continues healing, we expect her playful side to come out even more. At home, she is an absolute dream: no accidents, no chewing, easy when left alone, light shedding, and a beautifully relaxed energy. She’s also the best shotgun rider, totally chill in the car, and her early carsickness seems to have passed. At about 43 pounds (still gaining to reach a healthy weight), she’s the perfect size to take anywhere or to curl up beside you at home. Bexley is so ready to be someone’s whole world. Sweet Huck....our huckleberry is a gorgeous nearly 9 month old Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix that was originally found as a skinny baby running around on a highway way and taken in by good Samaritans who tried tirelessly to find his original owners. Fast forward a few months later and he is now in our care, fully vaccinated and neutered - Huck is a very smart boy who already knows many words and commands and is gentle and eager to please! Huck rides well in a car, will play fetch but hasn't quite figured out how to "drop" it yet - a work in progress there! He LOVES water, any water just like his breed would suggest.
