Doug is a very sweet five and a half month old boy. He can be energetic and playful but also loves taking long naps. He’s great with other dogs, children, and people. He’s not purebred but he is German shorthair pointer mixed with German wire hair pointer, although the wire hair never showed up on him. He’s completely house broken and kennel trained if that’s where you prefer to have him sleep. If not, he is also more than capable of sleeping outside of a kennel. He’s overall a great dog, loves to cuddle, and is great company. The reason we have to rehome him is because he has killed two chickens so if you do have chickens yourself I would not recommend adopting him. It’s his only flaw, me and my husband would love to find him a home full of love.

Meet Nellie! 💕🐾 Nellie is a sweet, affectionate girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She absolutely loves people and has a way of turning just about everyone she meets into a new friend. She may give a little bark when someone approaches, but once she realizes they’re there to say hello, she’s all about the pets and attention. Nellie would be a wonderful match for an active person or family who enjoys being outside. She has plenty of energy, strong athletic legs, and would likely make an amazing walking, hiking, or even running buddy. She’s still working on her leash manners, but she’s already showing that she can stay close and listen with some guidance. She’s also incredibly food-motivated, which makes training with her both fun and rewarding. In just a couple of weeks with her foster, Nellie has already made huge progress with crate training. She now settles much more calmly and will even choose to go lie in her crate on her own during the day. Nellie can be a little unsure about certain new experiences, especially things like the bath hose, but with patience, encouragement, and a little coaxing, she continues to improve. She’s the kind of dog who just needs someone willing to show her that the world is a safe and exciting place. After spending some time without the exercise and attention she deserved, Nellie is more than ready for her fresh start. She’s loving, playful, active, eager to learn, and full of potential. Very sweet boy. I am unable to provide a good life for him. He really needs a large fenced in yard to burn off energy. He needs someone who can give him extra time and is experienced or willing to put some effort into training him. I just want to find him a good home. Comes with crate, no pull halter, food bowls and leash.

Animal Information: May was found abandoned in an orchard in Eastern Washington with her three puppies, Lola, Bonita, and Bonny. Thankfully, our friends at Yakima Valley Pet Rescue brought the little family to safety. She weighs 42lbs and is estimated to be around 2 years old. Since being rescued, May has been friendly with both people and other dogs. She's been staying in a temporary foster home in Yakima with several other dogs and has done well with everyone she's met. As a German Shorthaired Pointer, May will do best with an active family that can provide the exercise, training, and mental stimulation her breed needs. We're looking forward to getting to know her better as she settles in and helping her find the right forever home. Foster Profile: Calling all GSP lovers! May is an active friendly girl waiting for a family to call her own. She loves all people and dogs she meets and is not shy when warming up to new people. She also knows how to read the room if another dog is not interested in playing with her and she carries on with her business. She is fairly active and loves to play and run but has an off switch and is always down for some snuggles. She is working on leash training and will benefit from continued training and structure to help her learn the ropes. She seems mostly disinterested in the cats she has met while out on walks so she will likely do well in a home with a kitty sibling, further cat testing can be done upon request. She will be an ok apartment dog if her family is committed to meeting her exercise needs.
