Flapjack is an 8-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) with a whole lot of love to give. This handsome boy is truly a big love bug who lives for attention, affection, and being close to his people. Flapjack has been an outdoor dog for quite some time, so he can be a little bouncy and excited when meeting new people. One side has healed nicely, but the other continues to be a challenge because Flapjack spends much of his time outdoors and doesn’t always choose a soft place to lie. He has been evaluated by a veterinarian, but what he really needs now is a home where someone has the time to keep him on soft bedding, apply his ointment as directed, and monitor where he chooses to lie so his hip finally has the opportunity to completely heal. His current family works long hours and cannot safely crate him for that length of time, making it difficult to give his hip the consistent care it needs. Flapjack isn’t asking for much — a soft bed, some extra care, and plenty of love. In return, you’re going to get a devoted boy who absolutely lives for affection. Animal Information: May was found abandoned in an orchard in Eastern Washington with her three puppies, Lola, Bonita, and Bonny. Thankfully, our friends at Yakima Valley Pet Rescue brought the little family to safety. She weighs 42lbs and is estimated to be around 2 years old. Since being rescued, May has been friendly with both people and other dogs. She's been staying in a temporary foster home in Yakima with several other dogs and has done well with everyone she's met. As a German Shorthaired Pointer, May will do best with an active family that can provide the exercise, training, and mental stimulation her breed needs. We're looking forward to getting to know her better as she settles in and helping her find the right forever home. Foster Profile: Calling all GSP lovers! May is an active friendly girl waiting for a family to call her own. She loves all people and dogs she meets and is not shy when warming up to new people. She also knows how to read the room if another dog is not interested in playing with her and she carries on with her business. She is fairly active and loves to play and run but has an off switch and is always down for some snuggles. She is working on leash training and will benefit from continued training and structure to help her learn the ropes. She seems mostly disinterested in the cats she has met while out on walks so she will likely do well in a home with a kitty sibling, further cat testing can be done upon request. She will be an ok apartment dog if her family is committed to meeting her exercise needs. If happiness could grow four legs and a wagging tail, we'd be introducing you to Nero Roo. This little guy is basically a walking, bouncing, zooming bundle of pure joy. Whether he's tossing his toys around, making himself laugh with his own solo zoomies, following his foster around like the world's cutest little shadow, or curling up for a nap after wearing himself out, Nero lives every single day like it's the best day ever. Whatever breeds came together to create this handsome little guy, they gave him the perfect mix of playful puppy energy, good looks, and a personality that's somehow even cuter than his face. Nero is exactly what you'd hope for in a puppy. He's social, affectionate, curious, goofy, and always looking for his next adventure. He loves everyone he meets and has become quite the little entertainer. Whether he's making up his own games, proudly carrying toys around the house, or bouncing through the room with the cutest mini zoomies you've ever seen, he has a way of making people laugh without even trying. Speaking of toys... this boy is obsessed! Nero can keep himself entertained for ages, happily tossing toys around, pouncing on them, and creating his own little puppy party. Every now and then he'll get so excited while playing that he'll break out into a burst of solo zoomies before going right back to playing like nothing happened. It's absolutely hilarious to watch. Once he's finally worn himself out, he's more than happy to curl up for a nap before doing it all over again. And when playtime is over? He transforms into the sweetest little cuddle bug and happily follows his foster from room to room like the perfect little shadow. If you're moving around the house, chances are Nero won't be far behind because he simply wants to be wherever his people are. Nero currently lives with four other dogs ranging from small to large and gets along wonderfully with all of them. Like any puppy, he'd love for everyone to play as much as he does... unfortunately for him, the resident dogs don't always share his enthusiasm! Even so, he enjoys their company and would likely thrive with another playful dog who could match his puppy energy. He's also fostered with free-roaming cats and has done well with them, making him a wonderful candidate for a home with feline friends too. Nero has also spent time around children as young as three years old while accompanying his foster to work, and he absolutely loves all the attention. He's always excited to make new friends and happily plays with the kids who come to visit. He's already crate trained and does a wonderful job, only whining when he needs to go outside to potty. Potty training is going well too! Like any young puppy, he's still learning where the appropriate place to go is, but he's a smart little guy who's picking things up quickly. With routine, structure, and consistency, we think he'll continue making great progress. He's also incredibly food motivated and eager to learn. Nero is already learning "sit" and has picked it up quickly, making training both fun and rewarding. He's the kind of puppy who's excited to work with you, especially if treats are involved. Now, because Nero is a puppy, he's very much in his "everything is a toy" phase of life. That includes your hands! He's mouthy in that typical puppy way and will need a family committed to continuing his training and helping him learn appropriate manners as he grows. The good news is he's eager to please, responds well to learning, and has all the makings of an amazing lifelong companion. We think Nero would do wonderfully with a semi-active family that's excited to embrace all the fun that comes with raising a puppy. Barkley is the sweetest pup with lots of energy. Always looking to play but also loves to snuggle. She is just about 6 months old, we adopted here at 2 months old from NOAH. We simply just dont have enough time to give her the play and walks she deserves, we have two little ones that she loves with a third on the way which is also part of why we need to rehome her. We also have a cat and older dog that she does great with, she's a little in the cats business but as to be expected with a puppy. She would do great in a home with property or someone who has time to get out with her. She would make a great hunting dog, she does catch critters on occasion already. She sleeps in the kennel overnight as of right now just due to her being a puppy still and curious about everything. We are hoping to find her a home with acreage or someone who is experienced with puppy training and has time to take her on plenty of walks. We can be flexible with her adoption fee her having a good home is first.

He shares toys well, happily shares attention from his people, and genuinely enjoys having canine friends around. Jesse would love another playful dog who enjoys a physical playstyle but is also confident enough to set boundaries with him. He needs a buddy who can participate in the fun while occasionally informing Jesse that even recess has rules. Jesse's fun-time mentality is best suited for larger small dogs, 25 lbs + and a cat-free home. People, however, are Jesse’s jam. He is confident and loving with new people, happily accepts all the belly rubs and will roll right onto his back the moment he meets you!
