Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.

Animal Profile: Marley is a 4-year-old, 60 lb neutered male mixed breed (DNA test showed German Shorthaired Pointer, Lab, Pitbull). He came to us as a puppy and was adopted but returned several years later due to anxiety around the young toddler in the home. Marley is friendly with other dogs, has lived without issues with cats, and is a loyal companion to his people. He is discerning with new people but not reactive. He is nervous with small children who don't respect his space. He is house trained, crate trained, and has good basic obedience training. We will share more as we get to know him in foster care.  Adopter Profile: Other dogs OK (not required) Cats OK Dog-savvy older kids considered Fenced yard preferred Large breed experience  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from Texas as a puppy and adopted after a short stint in foster care. He was returned several years later due to failure to acclimate to the toddler boy in the home. Story
Animal Profile: Kiko is a 3 year old neutered male mixed breed, best guess GSP mix, that joined us from Hawaii on 10/17/25. Kiko weighs about 55 lbs, has a good amount of energy, and does really well with other dogs and children. He is also very food motivated which will help with training. We will share more about Kiko once he settles into his foster home. Foster Update: Kiko is a friendly, playful, and affectionate boy who’s settling into foster care beautifully. He greets new people with a quick sniff and a wag, and he’s very curious about other dogs on walks. Kiko has plenty of energy and loves to stay active! He enjoys walks, fetch, frisbee, and tug, and would be happiest in a home with room to run or a dog buddy to play with. After playtime, he’s all cuddles — he’s crate-trained but also loves curling up with his people and sleeping in bed. He’s mostly quiet, only barking briefly when someone’s at the door, and he’s learning his commands (sit, down, shake, and sometimes come!). Kiko is smart, sweet, and ready to find a home that matches his fun-loving spirit and big heart. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent visit with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.  Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Hawaii thru our rescue partner Paws Across Water Hawaii (PAWHI), and will be arriving to Seattle area foster care on October 17, 2025. We will share more info as we get to know them in foster care. November 21, 2025, 10:04 am

Story
Meet Ranger – The Ultimate Adventure Buddy Ranger is a 4–6-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who’s ready to find a home that matches his energy, loyalty, and love for fetch. Found roaming a neighborhood, this sweet boy was taken in by a kind stranger who saw the good dog beneath the dust. Now he’s ready for his next chapter—and he’s bringing his ball with him. This guy checks a lot of boxes. He’s great with kids, friendly with small dogs, house and kennel trained, and knows basic commands. Ranger is affectionate, gentle, and loves being wherever you are—especially if that means riding shotgun on a car ride or playing a never-ending game of fetch in the backyard. He's happiest when he's outdoors, running off leash (in a safely fenced yard) or keeping you company at your side. His only mischief? He’s got a curious nose for the trash and may beg when food is around—but he’s too sweet to scold for long. What Ranger Offers: - Great with kids and small dogs - Knows commands, house and kennel trained - Low bark level, couch-mannered (only if invited) - Loves fetch, car rides, and being your shadow - Calm for indoor baths, less a fan of the hose - Affectionate, loyal, and fun-loving What Ranger Needs: - An active person or family who loves the outdoors - A decent-sized fenced yard with a tall fence - Someone with a strong throwing arm—he lives for fetch Ranger is looking for more than just a place to live—he’s looking for a human to belong to. If you’re ready for a companion who brings his own tennis ball and a heart full of love, Ranger’s your guy. ************************************************************* ADOPTION INFO - Dog application fees include: - All basic dog vaccinations - Rabies - Bordetella - Flea & Tick Treatment - Spay (up to $400) - Neuter (up to $300) - Microchip All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs and cats in our rescue.
