After some time to heal, lots of love, and good meals to help him gain back his strength, Keno is now healthy, happy, and ready to find his forever family!Keno’s had a tough start to life, he was emaciated and injured when he first arrived but you’d never know it now. He’s a resilient, loving dog who just wants to be close to his people. Keno is dog-friendly and kid-friendly, making him a great fit for an active, family-oriented home. His compatibility with cats is still unknown, but with proper introductions, he may do just fine!Keno will be fully vetted, vaccinated, and ready to go home with his new family. Hi there… my name is Bruce, and I’m a new face here at Balch Springs Animal Services. I was found wandering the streets all by myself, scared and unsure. I had a collar, but no one ever came for me. For a while, I didn’t understand why.I’m a little shy when I first meet new people, but once I realize you won’t hurt me, my tail starts to wag and my heart opens right up. The staff here say I’m one of the sweetest boys they’ve met. I love other dogs, and I’m fully vetted and ready to find a home where I can finally feel safe and loved.I’ve heard people say that sometimes black dogs get overlooked in shelters. Maybe it’s because our shiny coats don’t always stand out in pictures. But I hope someone will look past my color and see me — a gentle soul who just wants to be loved. I promise I’ll be your loyal friend, your shadow, and your reason to smile every single day.All I need is a little patience, a kind heart, and a soft spot to call my own. Could that be with you?
