Meet Ludo – Playful, Affectionate, and Full of Husky Charm Ludo is a 4-year-old Husky with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He’s affectionate, social, and always ready for adventure. This amazing boy loves being around people — adults and kids alike — and has an endless enthusiasm for walks, playtime, and life itself. Ludo previously lived with adults and a young child, spending time both indoors and outdoors. When left alone, he does well — he’ll nap, relax, or entertain himself — but he’s also been known to hop over shorter fences when something catches his eye. Age: 4 years old Personality: Affectionate, social, energetic, and a total cuddlebug With Children: Friendly and playful, though sometimes a bit too active for small kids With Dogs: Friendly and playful but can be unpredictable at times; loves to wrestle With Cats: Hasn’t met any yet Fears: Thunder and loud noises Favorite activities: Walks, running, and spending time with his people Ludo would thrive with an active family who understands the Husky spirit even though he is very calm — someone who can give him exercise, structure, and lots of love. He’s a joyful, loyal companion who’s ready to be your adventure buddy and best friend. **Ludo is   HW+, but you can foster to adopt, which means the dog stays with you until treatment is completed and they are cleared, at no extra cost to you. The dog comes off the adoption website once you are signed up for the foster to adopt program, or you can choose to go ahead and adopt, which at that point you are responsible for taking care of the treatment and the cost. Meet Louie!Louie is a 5-year-old Pomsky with a heart as big as his smile. Recently diagnosed with diabetes, he takes his medication like a champ. His eye sight has been damaged from his condition going untreated for so long but he really gets around great! Louie is one of those easygoing, gentle souls who loves everyone—dogs and people, kids included, alike. He enjoys going for walks and spending time with his humans, though he can’t get too overactive because of his condition. Louie has impeccable house manners and is truly an easy boy to love.  He would do best in a home where he can stick to his regular meal and insulin schedule, but beyond that, he just wants to be by your side. Louie has so much love to give and asks for very little in return—just a caring family who will give him a loving, steady home. Bella is a stunning 15-month-old, 51 lbs husky mix with a heart as bright as her beautiful coat. Found as a stray and never claimed, she was lucky to land in a loving DSDA foster home (with DSDA alumni!) where her playful, affectionate personality shines.   Bella loves romping with the resident dog and would thrive in a structured, active home that enjoys walks, runs, or outdoor adventures. She’s house-, crate-, and leash-trained, knows how to use a doggy door, and might even sneak a blanket or pillow outside to make her sunny lounging spot extra cozy.This smart, energetic girl would likely enjoy occasional doggy daycare or group training classes to keep her mind busy and her tail wagging   To meet Bella in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care.  All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. Must have a secure fence if in a house. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##2489444##
