Story
This magnificent fellow is Glacier named after his Arctic origins. He is almost pure white and is bi-eyed. He’s a 2yr-old 61lb Alaskan Husky that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/12 as a stray. He’s a real jewel! He’s well mannered. He doesn’t jump on you. He sits for treats and takes them gently. He’s easy-going and moseyed casually around the yard. He’s calm, gentle, sweet, affectionate, and patient. When I was brushing him he sat and appeared to really enjoy it. He stayed close to me soaking up the extra attention. He loves being petted and loved on. He was not interested in meeting other dogs. He maybe housetrained. He walked very well on a leash Huskies like to run and in the process are known to escape. Therefore, they need a tall secure fence. They also need frequent brushings. I think that you can tell by looking at Glacier that he is soft and cuddly. With winter coming up can you just imagine this softness cuddled up beside you on the couch or at your feet?

Story
This happy-go-lucky boy is Enzo. He was surrendered by his owner on 10/16. The owners felt he was too high energy for their family. He is a 2yr old neutered male Siberian Husky mix that weighs 59lbs. He appears to have been nicely cared for with a clean, fluffy, shiny coat. Enzo walked very nicely on a leash and did his business in the shelter yard. Much of the time we were outside, he had his nose to the ground, very curious about all the sites and smells in the yard. He does like treats and will sit for them. He is friendly and has a pleasant personality. He is fairly high-spirited and energetic! Enzo will need to be with a person or family who would give him daily playtime, exercise, and obedience classes that would enable him fit in with his family nicely.

Story
This very attractive 2yr old, neutered, Siberian husky mix, weighing 47lbs is Bixby, came in as a stray on 8/29. He walks quite nicely on a leash. This well-behaved boy is confident and outgoing, and he has a mellow chill personality. He did not jump on me. He is friendly and was perfectly fine with me petting him. Huskies are not well suited for apartment life. Bixby is hoping for a home with a good sized yard so he can roam about and stretch his legs, but he wants to live inside with his people in order to feel an important part of the family circle. Are you able to help sweet boy out of the shelter and on the way to his forever home?

Story
This attractive Siberian Husky mix is Crystal. She looks like she’s smiling in all her pictures. She is 2yrs old, weighs 54lbs and cam in as a stray on 10/11 to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. She is cool, calm and collected, and doesn’t jump on you. She has a moderate activity level and a low-key personality. She is calm and gentle and yet she is also lively, active and alert. She will sit for treats and does take them politely. She is a friendly girl and was A-OK with me petting her. This friendly submissive girl would make somebody a wonderful family member. It is sad that these two girls have ended up in a city shelter, with their people not coming to reclaim. It is very clear she would make a very loving and loyal companion. It`s a must to come spend time with her.
