Story
Hello, I'm Jericho! I'm young, full of life and ready to explore the world. I love to play, and I have energy to spare. Toss me a ball, and I'll fetch it all day! But I'm not all about games. I can be shy when I first meet new friends, but once I get to know you, I'm the sweetest companion. I'm curious about everything, always eager to learn new tricks. And when the day is done, I love nothing more than to curl up and cuddle. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my love and enthusiasm. Will it be with you?

Story
Annie is looking for a fur-ever Home! - 35-40 lbs - Huskey/German - yard is preferred - crate trained - We are located in Mesquite - Reason for rehoming: I took over Annies care about 2 weeks ago from someone on Nextdoor who already has 3 dogs of her own. I named her Annie, she started responding to it right away, she also learned to fetch. She is very smart still young enough to train in all things. She loves to run and play with other dogs or humans. Her fur is very soft and she likes to snuggle.

Story
Meet Indigo! He is a 1 yr old neutered male Siberian Husky that weighs 54lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/12 as a stray. This sweet, gentle boy is very handsome! This sweet boy loves to go out for walks and tho he can be a strong leash walker, he enjoys stopping at times for petting and just enjoying being out of his kennel. He has such a great smile and sparkle in his eyes. You an tell he wants so badly to find his own loving family, where he has a secured tall fence in his yard to run and play in. He would do best with an active family that understands the husky breed, their grooming needs, to live in a home, not an apartment, and plenty of affection he will share with his loved ones. Once he runs out some energy he does like to take long naps on his own dog bed, and taking treats gently. If you do have another dog in the home, please ask the shelter for a dog test. Indigo looks forward to leaving the shelter with his forever family so come spend time with him!

Story
Meet Alina! She is a 1 yr old female Siberian Husky that weighs 48lbs and is stunning! She came in to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 6/24 as a stray. Alina has been very well cared for with beautiful soft silky fur, and did live indoors. Sadly her owners have not come to reclaim her. She is nervous with all the noise at the shelter. She will pace, constantly looking to find her way out, and even in the yard she looks through the gate as if to say where is my family? I told we would spend time with her to help her feel better until her new family arrives. Alina will need to have a tall secured fence in the backyard, and as she was an indoor pup, that is exactly where she needs to be again. Going on walks, plenty of petting and treats and she will have a big smile on her face in no time! Come meet this lovely girl!

Story
This blue-eyed pup is wanting a loving, laid-back home because she's reserved. She will need patience and TLC to build up confidence and develop to her full potential. She will blossom into a beautiful girl with a sweet personality. Summer is a five month old 35 pound Siberian Husky that was brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter by a conscientious citizen on 6/29. When I first met her, she was hunkered down at the back of her kennel. Once I leashed her she immediately relaxed and started wagging her tail. I took her outside where there were some employees. She livened up and wanted to make friends. She even jumped on me a few times for extra attention. Then when I got her back into the room in which I took her pics she showed the timid side of her. She let me wipe down one of her ears that was caked with dirt. She was very patient while I did that. I found her to be very sweet, gentle, especially calm for a puppy, well mannered and receptive to affection. She walked well on a leash. She sniffed some dogs, but she was not particularly interested in meeting them. She would love to go for walks, but then come back to curl up by her new family while they watch TV.

Story
To say that Hanna adores human attention would be an understatement. This fluffy pup immediately mellows out whenever she receives affection from anyone – be it strangers, children, or the elderly. But don't be fooled by her antics. The moment it's time to return to her kennel, she unleashes the husky's trademark howl, serenading the shelter with her rendition of the "shelter dog blues." Her vocal prowess echoes throughout the center, leaving no doubt about her desire for companionship. In 2020, Hanna found her home through OHAR, where she lived alongside another dog and children. However, due to unforeseen hardships, her family faced tough decisions and returned her to OHAR. This turn of events has left Hanna heartbroken, yet she remains resilient, determined to find her fairy tale ending once again. Could you be the one to offer Hanna the love and stability she so deserves?Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home.
