Story
Meet Louie - A gentle boy ready for a loving home! Louie is a 5-year-old Pomsky with a heart as big as his smile. Recently diagnosed with diabetes, he takes his medication like a champ. His eye sight has been damaged from his condition going untreated for so long but he really gets around great! Louie is one of those easygoing, gentle souls who loves everyone—dogs and people, kids included, alike. He enjoys going for walks and spending time with his humans, though he can’t get too overactive because of his condition. Louie has impeccable house manners and is truly an easy boy to love.  He would do best in a home where he can stick to his regular meal and insulin schedule, but beyond that, he just wants to be by your side. Louie has so much love to give and asks for very little in return—just a caring family who will give him a loving, steady home. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion, Louie is your guy! ##2555582##

Story
Hello! My Name is Cody.  I'm an adorable 9 month old white shepherd/husky mix (best guess).  I'm around 70lbs now and full of fun.  I already love my foster mom's dogs. I've learned the doggie door and do well on a leash.  I love to play with balls and other doggie friends. They say I'm ready to find my forever home.  Come meet me! To meet Cody in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care.  All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. Must have a secure fence if in a house. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##2473630##

Story
Sweet Cannoli—and we mean SWEET, just like her name—is a bright-eyed, happy girl who is ready to leave her past behind and start her best life. Recently spayed after being abandoned and rescued, Cannoli will never again have to endure life in survival mode or raise unwanted puppies. Those days are officially over!   At just 12 months old and 64 pounds, Cannoli is a fun-loving, silly, and active pup who brings joy wherever she goes. She’s always up for playtime, adventures, and making new dog friends. She would thrive in a home with another playful dog and a securely fenced yard where she can stretch her legs and enjoy her zoomies.   We believe Cannoli is a Husky/Shepherd mix—which means she’s got those adorable ears for days and the intelligence to match! This highly sought-after mix is perfect for experienced dog owners who appreciate a smart, energetic companion. She is both house-trained and dog-door trained, making her an easy addition to the right home.   To meet Cannoli in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application. Story
Meet Dave — a 2-month-old Chow Chow puppy and a fluffy little ball of joy!  Dave is the kind of pup you just want to scoop up and snuggle all day long — and he’s more than happy to oblige. Dave is the more outgoing of the two brothers and loves being held and doted on. He enjoys playing with balls and squeaky toys and is always ready for fun or affection. Currently living in his own puppy room with his brother, Dave is soaking up the good life while learning and growing every day. Dave has recently joined our rescue and has received his first round of puppy vaccines. While he’s not quite ready for adoption yet, we are happy to arrange a secure meet-and-greet for interested adopters. If you’re looking for a social, snuggly pup with tons of charm, Dave is ready to steal your heart.  ##2708893##

Story
Meet Buster — a 2-month-old Chow Chow puppy with a soft, fluffy coat and darker face. This little guy is as adorable as they come and has a quieter, more thoughtful personality than his brother. Buster enjoys playing with balls and squeaky toys in his cozy puppy room, but he tends to take his time warming up. Buster is the kind of pup who will build a strong, meaningful bond with his people once he feels comfortable. He has recently joined our rescue and has received his first round of puppy vaccines. While Buster isn’t quite ready for adoption yet, we can arrange a secure meeting for those interested in getting to know him. If you’re looking for a gentle, fluffy companion who will blossom with patience and love, Buster may be your perfect match. ##2708912##
