Meet Scar. Originally was found wandering the streets of Philadelphia earlier this year. Decided to take him in. He’s fun, loving, energetic, friendly and great with children. An ideal adpoter would be someone who has time, care and patience to work with scar. He’s already potty trained so we’re just looking for a suitable home.

This friend has just arrived because their owner could no longer keep them. While owners can provide some history on their pets, our medical and behavioral teams will still evaluate them. Dogs that have lived in homes previously typically have some training established, but we cannot guarantee that those behaviors will remain consistent in a new home environment. They are pending interactions with other animals at the shelter until they have been cleared by our vet. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and we will update their bio with more information as we learn. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

It pains us to rehome our precious Finn but he has unfortunately it is no longer tenable to have him in our home as he lacks awareness with our 2 year old and 1 year old children and has shown signs of aggression towards them as he is getting older. We adopted Finn from a friend who's dog had a surprise litter back in 2014. Finn is 10 years old. He is half golden retriever half lab. He is the sweetest pup who loves cuddling and just hanging out in the house and the yard with us. He struggles with anxiety and anxious behavior when no one is with him but thrives with an owner who is home a lot and can give him a lot of attention and love. He gets along great with adults and has never shown aggression towards anyone outside of our children who I believe he has become jealous of. He does not get along well with other dogs though and tends to be aggressive around them. We are looking for a loving home that Finn can go to that can give him this attention and love, & be around with him lots

They are housebroken (puppies are paper-trained) and crate trained. They have been microchipped for identification purposes. They have been tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, and Lyme disease. Each dog is on year-round Heartworm medication while in the rescue's care. They are up-to-date with Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper, Parvo, and Leptospirosis vaccines. They have been wormed. Adoption Fee: The adoption fee includes 30 days of FREE pet insurance, with an option to purchase additional coverage.
