It pains us to rehome our precious Finn but he has unfortunately it is no longer tenable to have him in our home as he lacks awareness with our 2 year old and 1 year old children and has shown signs of aggression towards them as he is getting older. We adopted Finn from a friend who's dog had a surprise litter back in 2014. Finn is 10 years old. He is half golden retriever half lab. He is the sweetest pup who loves cuddling and just hanging out in the house and the yard with us. He struggles with anxiety and anxious behavior when no one is with him but thrives with an owner who is home a lot and can give him a lot of attention and love. He gets along great with adults and has never shown aggression towards anyone outside of our children who I believe he has become jealous of. He does not get along well with other dogs though and tends to be aggressive around them. We are looking for a loving home that Finn can go to that can give him this attention and love, & be around with him lots

KENNEL ID #01658&#226&#128&#139 This sweet laid back 2 year old guy lived in an outdoor kennel. His hair was falling out from a flea infestation. The wounds all over his body from scratching were festered and painful. All four feet have dew claws and the toenails on the rear legs had grown into his flesh. His teeth are worn down from chewing on the kennel fence. Food and water were scarce, he was dehydrated and under weight with no reserve to fight his ailments. Fast forward to now! He's fully vetted and feeling spry! Currently he is at 75lbs. and still gaining. He is so anxious for the couch life that he asked us to find him a forever home asap! He is not cat tested, and can be dog selective. He requires meet and greet with other dogs. He needs supervision or a tall fence when out. He is very chill and loves laying his big head on your lap for pets. This beautiful boy will make a great addition to some lucky family! Scooby is currently in a foster home in TN. This friend has just arrived because their owner could no longer keep them. While owners can provide some history on their pets, our medical and behavioral teams will still evaluate them. Dogs that have lived in homes previously typically have some training established, but we cannot guarantee that those behaviors will remain consistent in a new home environment. They are pending interactions with other animals at the shelter until they have been cleared by our vet.
