Story
Meet Bailey! 2.5 years old (estimated DOB January 2023), spayed female, Retriever mix, 50 pounds. She is in a foster home in San Antonio, TEXAS And is able to transport out of State once an adopter is approved. The city you have found her in, is one of the cities our transports make a stop. We can’t say enough good things about this sweet girl. Bailey was a last-minute save from an overcrowded shelter, and she has been nothing short of a treasure ever since. Bailey is kind, gentle, and playful. She enjoys romping with other dogs and gets along beautifully with them—she’s tolerant of all play styles and has a naturally submissive nature. She’s also a great companion on walks, does wonderfully on a leash, and hasn’t had any kennel or indoor accidents. Her moderate energy makes her the perfect balance—she loves to run and play but also adores settling in for some snuggles. In fact, Bailey will let you hug her for as long as you want, gazing up at you with her big, soulful puppy eyes. She hasn’t been officially tested with cats or small children, but based on her gentle and easy-going personality, we can’t imagine her being anything but sweet. Bailey is truly a “keeper”—the kind of dog who brings joy and love wherever she goes. Could she be the one to complete your family?

Story
Duque has been patiently waiting over a year for a family to call his own, and we honestly can’t understand why. This 1.5 years old, 6o-pound, neutered Lab mix is the total package—affectionate, playful, goofy, and absolutely bursting with love. He’s currently in a foster home in HOUSTON, Texas, and can transport out of state to an approved adopter. Duque is one of those dogs who’s never met a stranger. He greets everyone with a wagging tail, bright eyes, and a heart full of love. Whether it’s a neighbor, a new dog, or a friend of a friend, Duque is always ready for pets, kisses, and a cuddle. He’s a loyal, loving companion who’s happiest when he’s near his people. True to his Labrador roots, Duque is full of energy and joy. He plays beautifully with other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine companion. Just a heads-up: his enthusiasm might be too much for calmer or older dogs—he’s a full-throttle fun kind of guy. Duque’s ideal home would be with an active person or family familiar with high-energy breeds. He’ll need daily exercise and enrichment to stay balanced and happy. Apartment life could work only if his person is committed to regular outings like hikes, runs, dog park visits, or doggy daycare. Inside the home, Duque is both crate and house trained. He settles in with a treat and loves to nap after his adventures. He’s also famously vocal at mealtime—expect some enthusiastic “announcements” when dinner’s served, followed by the best food coma snoozes. Training-wise, Duque is smart, eager to please, and responds well to structure. He’s still learning leash manners and can be a bit all over the place, but tools like a slip lead, Gentle Leader, or no-pull harness help a lot. Duque hasn’t lived with cats or kids, though he’s shown curiosity toward cats. We recommend slow, careful introductions if cats are in the home. For families with children, older kids (8+) who are steady on their feet would be best, as he could accidentally knock over younger toddlers during play. Duque is a true lovebug with a big heart and even bigger smile. He’s been waiting far too long to find his forever family—and we just know the right person is out there. If you're looking for a goofy, loyal, cuddly, social pup to be your hiking buddy, adventure pal, and best friend—Duque’s your guy.

Story
Buddy is a 6-year-old, 57-lb neutered male Lab mix with a big heart and a gentle, affectionate personality. He was saved from the euthanasia list in San Antonio, TEXAS and is currently being fostered there, but he is available for out-of-state transport arranged by the rescue once matched with an approved adopter. Endearingly called “Air Bud” by his foster, Buddy loves people and forms bonds easily. He’s playful, social, and enjoys toys, pets, and any moment spent with his humans. He’s dog-friendly, but he doesn’t require another dog in the home—as long as he’s given love, attention, and companionship, he thrives. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and knows “sit.” He does great in the car, making him an easy travel buddy. Buddy enjoys walks and hikes, and because he gets excited to explore, he’s currently working on his leash manners. He may pull slightly, but he settles into a comfortable rhythm and loves being outside. His playful side comes out when he’s engaging with toys or adventuring, but indoors he settles well and loves relaxing near his people. We don’t have history with cats or young children, so we recommend a home with kids 13+ who understand dog body language and how to interact respectfully. Buddy is loving, loyal, and ready for his forever home. He’s looking for a calm, patient family who can help him learn to trust and continue to become his best self. He’s the perfect mix of playful and easygoing and would make a wonderful companion for someone ready to give him the love he’s always deserved. Please note our process starts with an application. If we think you might be a good fit, we will reach out to coordinate a phone interview. This is followed by a video call with the foster home. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process. Transport is included in our adoption donation. ___ Breed and Age Notice: The listed breed and age are our best estimates. In most cases, we do not know a dog’s exact age or full breed mix, as information is often limited. Ready to apply? Complete an adoption application using the link below! Story
Diva is a playful, affectionate, and outgoing girl with plenty of pep in her step and love to give. She adores running, playing, and chasing with other dogs, especially those that can match her fun, active spirit. Her tail is always wagging, and she’s just as happy exploring on her own as she is romping with a canine buddy. Diva would thrive in a home with another dog who shares her zest for playtime. On leash, Diva does wonderfully — she stays close and walks politely without pulling, making her an enjoyable companion for daily outings. Around cats, she mostly ignores them but will happily sneak a bite of their food if she gets the chance. She hasn’t lived with children while in foster care, but she is affectionate and gentle, and her foster believes she would do well with kids, especially those old enough to manage her enthusiasm (and protect their snacks from her curious nose!). Diva is crate trained and does well when crated for short periods, usually just for meals or when her foster is away from home. She’s very food motivated, so she’s always eager to learn, but she should be fed separately as she might try to sneak extra treats from other dogs. With toys, however, she shares well and enjoys playing without issue. Her personality is outgoing, playful, smart, and affectionate. She loves toys, cuddles, and meeting new people — she greets strangers with a friendly, tail-wagging enthusiasm. Diva is still building comfort with car rides, so long adventures will be something she needs to work up to with time. Diva has a few quirks that make her especially endearing. When corrected, she becomes “vocal,” howling as if she’s trying to argue her side of the story — it’s charming and funny, like she’s holding a conversation. Her ideal home would be one where someone is home most of the time to give her the structure, love, and activity she craves. She would do best with regular walks, plenty of playtime, and the chance to sleep close to her people. Loving, lively, and full of personality, Diva is more than ready to find a family of her own. With patience, consistency, and plenty of affection, she will blossom into the perfect companion.

Story
Venus is a 5-year-old spayed female Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix weighing about 45 lbs. She's currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA and is available for meet and greets with local adopters. For those outside Washington, out-of-state adoption is possible once an approved adopter is lined up. This gorgeous girl is incredibly sweet and affectionate—she’s the kind of dog who will gently rest her head on your lap and gaze at you like you’re her whole world. Venus is calm and people-oriented, happy to match your energy whether it’s relaxing on the couch or joining you for an outdoor adventure. She’s been fostered in homes with other dogs and currently enjoys play sessions with a friendly neighbor pup. Venus loves to run, wrestle, and explore with her canine companions. She especially shines during backyard zoomies and will happily romp around in circles with a buddy. Venus also loves toys and prefers playing with her humans over other dogs. Her zoomies and little “woo” of excitement are just part of her fun, goofy charm. She adores playing in water—whether it’s a kiddie pool or stream on a trail, she’ll splash around with joy. She also rides great in the car, making her a perfect companion for road trips, park visits, or trail days. There are cats in her foster home, and Venus shows a strong interest in chasing them. While she hasn’t had direct contact, a cat-free home or one with very dog-savvy cats would be best. Venus enjoys daily walks and is especially fond of nature trails. She’s still working on leash manners—she can pull some—but she’s learning quickly and is very food motivated. She is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and even trustworthy when left loose in the house. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking bites of other dogs’ meals. While she hasn’t met young children, her foster believes she could do well in a family with older, respectful kids who understand boundaries and enjoy including her in their day-to-day fun. Venus would thrive in a home where she’s truly part of the family. Whether it’s splashing in water, riding shotgun on a weekend getaway, or simply curling up next to you at the end of the day, Venus will bring a whole lot of love—and a few happy “woos”—to her forever home.

Story
Benj is some kind of couch-pretzel, people-loving, golden good boy with a side of zoomies and heart. You could sum him up with just saying- look at his face!!! That lab-like sunshine face says it all. This boy lights up for people and only aspires to be a lap dog (please don’t tell him he is considered “too big.”) Want to see Benji in action? Here you go- https://youtu.be/qaXHwytI6fU Benji is currently fostered in loving home where he lives peacefully with multiple dogs (big and small) and cats. His fosters describe him as smart, loving, and attention-seeking in the sweetest way. He’ll play chase outside with the dogs, then take breaks on his own. We love a dog that knows the joy of a well-timed break. Out and about, Benji is friendly and social. He walked right up to say hello when I met him and it was an instant connection. Of course, I later learned thats just how it feels with Benji, that connection is part of his charm. Benji also has great leash manners and is an easy walking companion which is a great quality for a dog that is so people-friendly. we greeted his fosters, and he was easy to walk on leash during his assessment. Benji’s personality has two modes, and they’re both adorable: * Outside: happy boy, a bit more focused, occasionally a little unsure in busy, new situations. Overall solid good boy still learning and growing. *Inside: this is when the lover-boy shows up. He comes over to check in, flops into you, and tries to twist himself into your lap like a happy little pretzel. This is also the time for snackies! Snuggles and treats are a top-teir combo to Benji. With new dogs, Benji can be a little insecure at first and appreciates taking it slow at first. That initial shyness is built around a sweetness. He doesn’t rush into the fast playmates role with new dogs but warms to it but we know he is a great companion and playmate thanks to the front-row seat his fosters have. In the foster home, he is doing great with the resident dogs and has a fun chase-play style. Cats are possible for Benji in the right setup. He lives with cats now and may occasionally chase a cat that moves quickly, but he’s not looking to do anything once he catches up. In his cat test, he was polite with our mellow but confident house cat, it was a very polite sniff and walk away. We’d love for Benji to have another dog in the home if cats are part of the picture, rather than a cats-only household. If he has a canine-companion for rounds of chase the cats are much less tempting. Benji would be a wonderful fit for an active person who enjoys walks and hikes as a way to get some exercise and fresh air but is a homebody type otherwise. He is well suited for either house with a yard or apartment life. The only requirement is you must love cuddling at home and not have size limitations on lap-dog privileges. This boy is people-friendly, goofy indoors, and ready to be someone’s loyal and adorable sidekick. Benji is the epitome of the kind of dog who makes a house feel lived-in in the best way… like home.
